Post your boat's name

Being the Dad of two smart and beautiful girls who love the water, Andrea and Kathleen, I had to go with Andreleen

Serenity Again. Last boat was Serenity Now, so it seemed fitting.

Named by previous owner but I like it.

HEDONISM

Means the pursuit of pleasure.
Heh...it means more than that to the swinging community. If another couple asks you out to dinner, Id be sure it isnt just because of that name :smt001

For our 25th Anniversary we decided to buy our first boat...

Anni d'Argento (Italian for Silver Years).

Total Slacker

No name planned for this one either. Had 3 boats, never named one yet. I do enjoy reading all the different names. Some are quite clever.

Our lightly used 270 Sundeck (2003) came without a name as the prior owner had removed all evidence of such on and in the boat.

Out of caution, we will still likely to do a re-naming ceremony.

We will likely name her:

Spontaneous

We are so spontaneous that we changed the name to REDEMPTION.

Its related to the business I do (finance) and also how we feel after enjoying time on the water - redeemed. The thological thing was not a part of the decision, but hey, it never hurts to keep 'em guessing.

Name of my boat is MARINE WOLF, after the troopship that brought my dad home from the Pacific Theatre in World War II.

Marine Wolf was a C4-S-B2 merchant marine ship that transported thousands of troops during WWII and Korea. Sometime after Korea she was converted into a container ship and renamed Transglobe. Sadly, she was finally broken up for scrap in 1973.

I figured since the ship safely brought by dad home and then continued a successful career for some 30 years that I might pick up some of that good karma by naming my own boat after her. That, and I thought the name was unique.

2 Silly Knot 2

Named after the original (280) Silly Knot 2

Want another beer? 2 Silly Knot 2

LINA LINA

The Mrs. is Angelina(nickname Lina) and the boat is so nice we named it twice.....
and since I run a collection agency I wanted "The Bill Collector II"
and you see who won that arguement.....

Troubadour
The spanish travelling guitarist... Only if my Les Paul wouldn't warp on the boat! Maybe the next boat will be called Humidor! :)

Several years ago I took my family of 5 to Scotland for a “discover your roots†trip. Fantastic time enjoyed by all, but since they would not let us move into the family castle, we came home. With this boat we all wanted a name from the old country but couldn’t find just the right phrase. After what seemed like an exhausting search, somehow we ended up with Scots n’ Water. Also, the small Scottish flag we have matches the boat's colors.

My wife is from Scotland so we needed a Scottish name for our boat. We came up with "SKIVER" which is a Scottish word for skipping school or skipping work, playing hooky.

It is going on the boat this summer, I will post a pick as soon as its on.

You can tell we just got a foot of snow in Detroit if I am replying to posts this old...major cabin fever!

havent actually named it yet but am thinking about "Anger Management". wife doesnt really like it but when im on it i dont get angry....

also mentioned "Always Broke" like either the boat or my wallet but the wife doesnt like negativity

I have a friend who named his 46' Ray "Anchor Management"

The history behind our boat's name was suggested by a friend that because we are considered low key types, we combine our names. LaurieKen and pronounce the name lowkey.
