Ottawa state of emergency. Surprised?

Geesh, you Canucks are scaring me. We have a trip in and around Montana and Glacier Park with a minor incursion into Canada with a stay planned at the Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton Lakes. Mebbe I should take a shotgun for self defense against Trudeau's boots on the ground troops.

It'd have to be a shotgun becuz y'all don't allow handguns into CA:rolleyes:

The term "jackbooted thugs" comes to mind. Will they really let foreigners bring in shot guns? While it is a southern boarder, it's not Joebama's southern boarder.

LOL ..My grandparents used to live in Haines City and I dated a girl from Lakeland back in the late 90's. Got stopped coming home from Pleasure Island and Ybor City on more than one occasion. Polk County Sherrif's dept doesn't mess around and knew exactly what us idiots were up to.

This is not ok. Arresting a 78 year old man for honking his horn in Canada. Even though it may have been a “crime”, a police officer should know better than to carry out the order to arrest people for HONKING a horn. Sometimes you have to stand up for something.

I think this officer will regret the arrest…..the court order he is citing only applies to air horns and train horns….not Dodge Caravans. I’m sure you could argue that the offence did not occur near the convoy parked downtown, which was the original intent.

Yup, unless things have changed in the last few years, shotguns are OK, rifles not so OK but will be allowed for competitive rifle matches and pistols? NOT AT ALL!

Well, I do know of a way because many years ago I took 8 revolvers and semi-auto pistols through CA, then took them back through on my return trip. All with the blessing of the local head of the OPP in Windsor, Ontario. It's all in who you know. :cool:

Certainly Covid is being used as the catalyst to try and convert both our countries to Communism at a pace I never imagined.
The U.S. is having wide spread demand for censorship of anyone who steps outside the narrative.
This leaves little room for doubt about the true motives of the the left.
 
Ambassador Bridge was shut down yesterday semis all over the east side waiting on the side of the road to cross the border. Many then tried to cross up in Port Huron. They aren't set up for that kind of traffic and I-94 was backed up with semis 13 miles this morning. What a cluster....

It's not the moderates that I worry about. It's the wackos on both extremes that allow governments to justify any response that suits their purpose to "maintain peace and order." Communism is a failed notion. What is a clear and present threat is neo-Marxism. The ideologues have demanded rights and entitlements, under the guise of claiming equality, but they accept no responsibility or accountability. They subvert our society and governments with the constant attention from mainstream media, promoting the agendas of these very disruptive minorities. The majority, especially older, white, educated and affluent families and especially the men, are targeted and relentlessly vilified as the root and cause of their claimed repression, persecution and injustice. These activists rail against us. They claim our successes are achieved at their expense. They claim that we have created a social and financial hierarchy that is paternalistic, inequitable and entrenched. Instead of creating opportunities, achieving success and enjoying wealth they earned for themselves, they are coming to destroy ours.

I couldn't agree with you more (which is both odd and a little uncomfortable:D). But I would exchange the word equality with equity, which is even more insidious. Why work hard to create something when you can steal it instead?
