Official 370 Sundancer thread

Found alot of moisture and delaminating from the survey, about 12 inches down around the bow below the rubrail.not what i wanted to hear but at least i didnt find out after i purchased it.Moisture reading above 8 around bow by the porlights in the hull. Also some delaminating on the sides toward the stern Survey was stopped after that. No point in finding out if the motors were running to specs.........Im sure the Titanics engines purred like a kitten right before it went down.......really sucks i loved the boat

Andy, they look great. Please keep us posted on performance. Thanks.

All,

Well the jury is finally in on my 4-blade props. Due to high water I was delayed but finally took her out a few days ago on her "maiden voyage with new props". I am happy to say the results are stellar . . . the props performed extremely well. First test was RPM's at WOT and it was near perfect at 4400 RPM's. Second test was maneuverability, it was a windy day I was able to turn 180 degrees into a beam wind with relative ease. Seemed to use a lot less throttle than the 3-bladers (of course that was last year). I came out of the hole with much more torque, it seemed much quicker and easier than before. Docking upon my return seemed to be easier too. Of course, having not done it since last fall may have made it "seem" easier but it really did seem to be much more responsive. I've convinced myself that it is much better so, after a few more outings, I will post another update.

Happy in Minnesota!

What happened to the 370 weight between 1995 and 1997 ?
- 1995 370 DA: 15,400 lbs
- 1996 370 DA: 16,000 lbs
- 1997 370 DA: 17,000 lbs

Has anyone ever replaced their steering cable (mine is manual) on their 370? Mine is starting to get a lot of slop . . . is this a difficult job? It appears that the cable disconnects from the helm assembly and the rudder assembly and you just simply thread the new cable (which I'm sure will not be easy). Anyway, has anyone done this?

I talked to the Searay dealer and gave them the part number, and, of course, they no longer manufacture the 18.5 foot length, I would have to have it custom made OR try and make do with a 19 foot cable which would be cheaper and faster to acquire.

Any insights from anybody would sure be helpful, thanks!

I know this has been talked about before, but I can't find it. I would like to replace the light bulbs on the reading lights, overhead lights and the rope light in the forward state room with LED's. Anyone remember who they purchased the lighs from and the part #'s.
Thanks :smt100

What HP engines are you running?

anyone still lurking around this thread? lol - we just bought our first boat and first sea ray - well, the deposit is down and the survey/ sea trial is next week- My husband is working on his boating license- we are SUPER excited! I have been wanting a boat for years and planning to buy one as soon as I won the lottery....lol -

How about some pointers? I just started looking for a mid-late 90's 370 DA. What should I look for? Which motors would I want? What are the trouble spots?
