Official 370 Sundancer thread

Can anyone give me any leads on where I can get a transom seat for a 1992 370? Some models did not come with one but I would like to add one. Thanks.

Wow! Excellent job on the mounting of the flatscreen.. Did you do the woodwork yourself or have that done? I have a 20" flatscreen there but just covering the hole where the old TV used to be...

Really nice!

I had a boatyard do the wood veneer work. I have them do the frig as well. I did the TV and the PlayStation 3.

That might be a tough item to find. As I recall the seat had a removable fiberglass base that you could unlatch and take off of the boat. Unless you find someone willing to part with one from their boat or someone who sold a boat and kept it, you're probably going to have to have something custom made. This site is a great place to start your search. Good luck, Mark

I decided to go ahead and supersize the flatscreen. $239 shipped 32" 1080P. gotta love Black Friday.
It's not as overwhelming as it looks in the picture. In fact we are quite used to it now, and is easy to see from the helm passenger seat too.

Can someone please tell me what size fenders you use. The manual says 8 X 20 were sold as an option for 1999 370 Sundancer. We are interested in the Taylor Made Big B. There web site says to use 10 X 26.

I think mine are 8 x 20. I think what really matters is what conditions your boat is usually subject to. If you get bounced around in your slip or if you do any raft ups I would go bigger.

Thanks Mark, We are on the Erie Canal and we have to thru the locks to get anywere. Not much movement at the marine unless someone goes flying by in a No Weak Zone.

We have just purchased a 2010 370 and wanted to know if anyone on the forum has had any issues with a 2010 model that we should be watching for. Thanks!

Congrats! And welcome but I don't think you will find too many folks here with the new model 370. Some of the new models get designations but are actually built on a previous model hull. Have you looked at loa and beam and compared to 360/380? There might be a thread dedicated that would be more helpful. I hope I don't need say that you are certainly welcome here and do not intend to imply otherwise- just trying to help.

Has anyone ever had to replace the port side fuel sender from the tank?

My dealership has told me that they have to remove the cockpit freezer and drill an access hole, so the sender can be pulled out straight. Labor is about 4 hours. Yikes.

Only issue I'm aware of is the price:wow:. Once you get past that you should be good. Congrats on the new boat and welcome to the site. Alot of great info and great people here. Mark

We have almost gotten over the price issue! Trying hard not to think about it!

In my quest to replace all plastic and white fittings, I still don't understand why sea ray would use plastic and white fittings on such a wonderful boat. I replaced my cockpit sink faucet, with this one used on newer Sundancers.

I found it on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200528963420&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT

Hi Spiro,

I just purchased this faucet, can you please tell me if you had to alter the size of the hole or plumbing for this install. Also did you get any paperwork with the faucet. I purchased it from Great Lakes Skipper and there was no paper work at all with it.

My 370 has the standard props 18 X 21 as spares and the originals were re-pitched to 18 X 20's with a pronounced cup. I've tried both and in my opinion, the 18 X 20s do a better job, but only slightly. If I had my druthers, I'd like very much to try some four blades. It's been suggested that I go to 19 X 19 4 blades.

To All 370 Owners:
Have any of you gone from the standard (and relatively small) 18x21 3-blade props to 4-blades? I am seriously looking into this and would love to hear if anyone has experienced this on their 370. I'm looking for better slow speed maneuverability, especially when battling strong winds while docking. I could use more bite.

Here are some pics of my tv upgrade. I made a door to match the other closets with a mirror to convert the old tv hole to a closet. I still need to conceal some wires. The new mount is adjustable so you can watch from the mid cabin when its set up as a birth. I also added a strap that is behind the tv to keep it secure when traveling.
