Official 350 (2013 - ????) Thread

Congrats, she's a damn fine looking vessel. Enjoy!

Looks awesome man. How do you like the 8.2 with axis. I love mine. couldn't imagine getting shafts in this boat. It was built to fly

Love em. Took us three hours to bring her home. 3500 rpms at 31-32 mph all the way in 2-5 footers. No hiccups, bogging, nothing. Ran like a top and of course easy around the docks

transom grill not working

Anyone know of a hidden gfci plug or breaker that's between the transom grill and the breaker panel?

ive tried unplugging the grill and plugging something else in. It seems like there's no power to the outlet. (Yes, I have checked the breaker)

Re: transom grill not working

I'm not sure if mine is the same or not as I have a 15'. I will take a look this weekend though & see if I can find anything.

At least you've had a chance to try your grill. The weather here has been terrible (on the weekends anyway) since we splashed. Highs in the 50's at best & seems like it's constantly blowing 30.

Smiling monkey the plug it's self is a gfci which I'm sure you have already check but also there is a sensor when you open the gourmet grill hatch it allows power the the outlet I believe it is on the left hand side if that sensor is stuck or bad it won't allow power also you cannot use that outlet unles this hatch is open let me know if I can help more I have quit abit of knowledge on this boat and it's systems.

Boater john There's hardly anything not to like on this boat. What options did you go for on yours.

Thanks Rarely. I saw that switch and pushed it a couple of times but it didn't have any affect. Do you know how I could get at that switch to see if it's getting power?

Also, did you see my question about shutting off the transom speakers?

Thanks,
John

John as far as getting to the switch I don't know off my head. I know this is comin sense but make sure you have the right side of the pannel on I'm pretty sure the breaker is on that side. From there it goes to the switch then down to the outlet. As far as your transom speakers go it really depends on how yours is set you. Do you have the upgraded sound system or the basic. Do you have bow speakers. Have you determined on your unit which area is zone one and zone two. I had my system wired up three different ways untill i got how i liked it. Let me know on those questions and I can probably help you.

Grill: Yeah, checked the master breaker. Tried it with both shore powers plugged in, tried it with the transfer switch on, and tried it running on genny. This weekend I will bring my non-contact voltage detector (whatever they are called) and see if there's AC to the safety switch.

Speakers: Pretty sure it's just the standard stereo. Rockford Fosgate with the main components in the saloon and a remote station at the helm. Bow speakers that are controlled by a switch just inside of the main door. I do notice that the volume of the cockpit and transom speakers drops when I switch on the bow speakers. How do I determine the different zones?

Stereo-I have the upgraded stereo so we might have different head units but if the head units are the same to determine zone one and two push down on the volume nob and it should switch volume control between one two and all I'm assuming yours will be set up to be zone 1 down stairs zone 2 up stairs. So after that is determined the only way to turn your transom speakers off is to use the fader and push the sound forward to your cockpit speakers. To do this you need to be at the main helm unit set to zone 2 I think hold down menu then go to Audio and select fader and adjust accordingly. Also these head units are not the most user friendly so it might take you a minute to get to the fader screen it always takes me a few tries to get to where I want to be for some reason. Also how many speakers do you have in your cockpit. And if for some reason your head unit is different let me know what the unit number is and I can ask the plant installer how yours (should) be set up.

Rakelly

i was was at the boat today and tried the grill again. I brought my non contact voltage detected but didn't detect anything at the safety switch. Any ideas?

i didn't get a chance to fiddle with the radio

If that's the case I would start at the panel. There should be a single or two screws take those out and the panel will fold down. Then there will be a clear peace of plastic protecting all of the breakers sounds like you might have a bad breaker not sending power down the line so I would test voltage coming off the grill breaker and see what you get. If you get voltage coming off the breaker on the line then. I would double check your voltage on the back of the boat. I will be on my boat tomorrow and I will check the wiring for any other points to check

Rakelly,

Finally got the grill working. Had someone from the dealer working on it today, turns out it was wired incorrectly.

Regarding the stereo, the RFX4000 doesn't have a volume nob, it's all smooth on the front. (It sucks a$$ by the way). So obviously, I wasn't able to push the nob in. I pushed and held just about every button on it but it didn't change zones. After looking at the instructions, it doesn't seem like there are multiple zones. I'll need to open up the panel in the salon and see how it's all wired, I may need to end up adding a switch that turns the transom speakers on and off.

Ok guys finally got to spend some time on the boat. What is the lowest speed you can stay on plane without tabs? I can't go below 3000rpm. When I run at about 3400 I'm running about 28 mph. Every one about the same? What are most of you cruising at? Thanks for your help John.
