Official 330 Sundancer Thread

I would like to see any pics of the wood flooring look on a 330 (1998 or before).
thanks John

Me too. I have picked out a natural maple engineered wood laminate (think maple veneer), but would like to see the look on someone else's boat. I don't want to go with the darker cherry color since my 1997 only has limited wood accents and they are light oak (don't want Oak on the floor though, too porous)

HI guys,

can anyone who still has their boat in the water measure accessory area of the cockpit (are on left where most have gps or fishfinder ) I want to add some extra electronics to my boat this year, but not sure if i have the dash space there.

thanks this would save me a 2 hour drive

Well my wife and I upgraded this year finaly!!! We were able to get a 1993 330DA in fantastic condition. Upholstery is great, no discoloration, no tears, no pulled stitching. Canvas is about 2,3 yrs old. 580 hrs on both motors. (twin 454 v-drives) Interior is in incredible condition. It came with all the electronics we expected and more with the chart plotter. Everything was reported to us as in good working condition by the marina. I will be leaving this monday evening to Maryland to bring her back to her new home on seneca lake. I just hope that getting to the stuffing boxes under the motors dont end up being unreachable for me. The marina did tell us up front that they need to be tighted a bit or replace the stuffing all together. Does anyone know about any kind of publications that can be bought for that model boat and year for mechanic and maint, aspects of the boat?

before buying make sure it just isn't gunked up, I find that if you put a little grease on the piston it frees up, and it just takes a little to free it up

Just want to take a minute to thank all you who post here. I was having trouble with my windshield vent motor sticking and stopping intermittently. I used the fix that I read here and IMHO it saved me hundreds. Disconnected the vent motor, used some WD-40 and screwed the plunger in and out several times and it is working like new. This site is great!!

Hey, I don't know if I'm in the right forum but perhaps someone can help me or direct me to where I might need to go.I have to replace my Norcold DE 541 fridge. I'm thinking of replaceing it with a DE 0041. I read somewhere that I have to remove my cabin door to get the new one in. Yikes!

G, You and me both. I did a lot of homework on this issue last year and need to revisit this issue, spring is right around the corner. You are correct the DE 0041 will not fit through the door. Your best bet is to go the route of a Nova Kool Unit. The unit needed is the 5812. The Reasons are as follows (Posted here before): (1) Ease of installation, cabin door does not have to be removed. (2) 5.8 compartment (3) Danfoss Compressor (4) fits in the DE 541 opening with only 1/2 '' of cabinet removal at the top, sides work perfect. (5) Stainless steel door panel is standard (6) highly recommended by everyone. It does cost a bit more.

Let me know what you come up with!

Do you have to remove the cabin door, or remove the fridge door to get it to fit through the cabin door opening?

From what I have read, to remove the Norcold it needs to be disassembled inside the cabin and taken out piece by piece. I believe it is still a tight fit and would required wrapping the box in a packaging blanket being careful not to damage anything when removing from the cabin. Again, I thought I had read that only the Nova Kool "Door" needs to be removed to get it into the Cabin. The Cabin door does not to be removed in either case.

Hope this helps, going to pull the trigger soon, when I tackle this project I will take lots of pictures.

Guys,
Regarding the refrigerator try PM'ing Larry. He did it on his boat last year and can give you all of the tips! I know whatever he put in is a little pricier buy has LOTS more storage inside!!

Rum,
Thanks. One of the other captains replaced his with a Nova Kool. Something to look into.

Anyone know how to remove the step in a 94 330. I found two bolts on the inside of the cabinet under the sink but it is still holding from somewhere against the bilk head but I cannot seem to find them. I don't want to break it by forcing so I am hoping someone else has tackled this.any help would be appreciated

Well, got the Norcold out by removing everything behind the fridge and hacksawing the base legs off. Now waiting for the WAECO CR-110E-F-S to arrive. Hope it goes in!

G's Spot, What made you go with the WAECO CR-110E-F-S fridge, I was going to pull the trigger on the Nova Kool Unit this week. Let me know. I will take a look on the internet.

Replaced my noisey "Nevercold" with a Vitrofrigo 2 years ago. The Vitrofrigo is dead quiet when running. Very happy with it. Took the Norcold out in pieces. Took the sliding cabin door of to get the Vitrofrigo in.
