Official 320 Dancer Thread

Going to Look at a 2008 320 Sundancer this week with the 496 mags and Bravo 3's anything I should be concerned about or pay close attention to?

Is it a 2007? That was the last year for the 320. There are really not any issues with the boat as a whole. Other than the traditional items you need to pay attention to with a boat. We really like our 320. Good luck in your search. If you go through this thread. You can probably get a sense of very few issues.

It's a 2008 couldn't find any info on them either so I contacted Sea Ray and they told me the did make the 320 Sundancer in 08 not many but they were made.

Interesting I did not know that.

I have a 2004 320 with the 496 mags and Bravo IIIs. I would have the manifolds inspected especially if they are aluminum. The new ones should be cast iron. The aluminum was made because it reduced weight. However, it will fail sooner because it is a dissimilar metal. This set up is faster and more fuel efficient that the V drives. Not good for salt water. Good luck.

Well the 08 didn't work out but bought a 04 pending survey. photo.jpg

I am new to the 320 thread and new "soon to be owner" of a 2007 320 sundancer. I am curious as to if any one has any experience in going from Destin, Fl to Lake Charles, La on a 320. We were thinking it would be a nice get to know the boat cruise. I am curious on how long the cruise is or if it would be better to have the boat shipped here on I-10

I have a question. We just pulled off our winter cover last week and put on our full canvas enclosure. It's been very windy with gusts of 45mph the last couple days and the snaps at the bottom of the slanted canvas on the back continue to unsnap. Has anyone experienced this? It's a real PIA. :smt021

Survey went well hopefully launching next week and the gel coat looks great.

Thats good news. Everyone here has their favorite wax method and products so I don't want this to hijack the thread... But as one of a few fellow green hull owners, I can tell you the Meguires flagship cleaner wax really deepens the color to a wet look on my green. I usually follow it with a top coat of collinite 925 protective wax which goes on and off easily after the cleaner wax. I haven't needed anything stronger because my hull was well taken care of and very little chalk/fading. I do it 2x a season or 3x if I get time and so far it's held up nicely to 3.5 seasons of sun under my purview!

Hi all. I am doing a stereo project and am trying to get behind the switch panel in the cabin. I can't seem to find any way to get back there. Has anyone had success removing the panel? Thanks!!

The one in the front of the cockpit port side (by the cabin door) is even closer, so I know the bigger speaker will not fit there either. To be honest the 6.5’s sound great, especially when you add the 10’ JL Sub. Here is a link to a thread I did some time back on my speaker / amp upgrade.

Better late than never? Haha.

I ended up going with the bigger speakers, the 7.7 Components. Made spacers using starboard which came out pretty nice actually. Was the only way to fit them. Amp JL M700/5 and also the JL 10inch M Series Infinite Sub. System cranks!
