Official 320 Dancer Thread

If you want to update the lighting I put this LED light in replacing the 4 plastic ones in rather cabin. They really made a difference in both looks and lighting.

Finally got some pictures of the screens we had made for the new canvas as well. Plus our new flag and replacement faucet in the cockpit.

Also, when I hit the button to turn on m port side wiper it pops out the fuse. Anyone know where to start and if needed how to get to the wiper motor? Much appreciated.

Without having to go through 157 pages of posts, can someone tell me the impeller kit #'s I need for my 5.7 Mag's, and my 5ECD Kohler generator?
Mike

Kohler # 359978. I bought mine from partsfortechs. My generator is a 5ECD as well.

It was right about $5,800 with tax and all the extras.

lonh weekend of projects. Tore the bolsters out in the main berth and replaced it with an 8" memory foam...what a difference. Still continued to clean after the roof collapse last month. And updated the model graphic...looks more modern.

Hey Wet Dogg:
How did you finish the rough old plywood extensions located under the bolsters after you ripped them out?
We pulled ours last fall and I posted some pics. I am currently having my new forms covered by an upholsterer to fit back into that space. I agree it opens up a whole new sleeping area when you remove those useless bolsters that Sea Ray put on the 320's.

Spikedaddy99, im not sure of the impellers for 5.7 Mags. I run 6.2's. Maybe the following link will help. You click Launch Parts catalog, and enter your serial number. I got the link from mercruiser customer assistance. Http://www.mercurymarine.com/parts-and-accessories/parts-catalog/ I hope this helps

Bill...so far nothing. I didn't even keep the bolsters, pitched them. Still trying to come up with some ideas on how to finish. But what I think I am going to do is have the guy who did my new canvas come in and cover it with matching vinyl from just under the cabinets all the way down under the mattress. But I would like to see pictures when yours is done.

I had a new 30amp Pronautic charger installed this year. It has twice blown internal fuses and displayed a "reverse polarity" fault light. The first time it happened was after I installed a new fridge and the new fridge control module fried immediately on start-up. A replacement module, installed the same, has worked fine for weeks and is still working fine, as are all other DC systems.

I assumed that "fridge-event" blew the fuses, but there has been no such event since and I now have a repeat of blown fuse and reverse polarity warning. I am waiting to hear from Pronautic support about possible causes. Does anyone here have any idea what might cause the internal fuses to go on the charger? Everything else seems to be working fine.

Thanks for any insight you might have.

Paul

Paul - wish I knew the answer to your question. But I have one of my own. My port wiper is popping the internal fuse. Green light on dash comes on for about 3 seconds then pops. Any idea where to start and how do you get to that wiper motor? Much appreciated.

Hi 320 owners...has anyone had issues with the soft-touch keypads on the dash...mine failed recently which caused many things to operate independent of any input from me! Was dangerous to say the least. Its on the internet and Searay's advice is consistent with the master marine site....REPLACE EVERYTHING meaning keypad and the controller in the engine room. Am I alone or has anyone else experienced their engine hatch opening while moving, wipers going on, bilge blower not working, etc. took the advice.......replaced everything and its good as new...but expensive.

wow, never heard of that happening and knock on wood, nothing like that has happened to my 2005 320... Sorry it happened to you, did they say what caused it?

How easy or difficult is it to get the 320 to "walk" sideways? My slip has a finger pier to starboard and I would like to figure out how to move to starboard instead of pull out and start over. Especially when the wind seems to always blow me off the dock. There is no dock to port, just my neighbors boat which I would like to avoid colliding with as well :) I have been looking online and found general advice to turn rudder to port, port forward, starboard reverse and goose the port throttle a bit and voila! Haven't had a chance to test this out yet.

Not too bad to walk it sideways without wind or strong currents. If strong wind or current, it will take some throttle and skills.

Is there a piling forward and aft between you and the slip neighbor? Any chance you could put a cheater line between those two pilings to help catch you if you drift too far over and/or walk the boat back in the slip by hand?

How about those of us with BIII's. What would be the technique for walking your boat sideways?
Appreciate all reply's,...... I'm having fun finding out all this boat can do!!

Any idea what these are? I found them behind my genset in my (new to me) 320 but I cannot figure out where they go! Thank you!

2005 320 Da smartcraft or sensor issues
Guys - relative newbie and on my ipad on the boat so I hope I have posted right.

I had posted part of these issues later last year but am just getting to the boat right now.
i have a myriad of smartcraft or sensor issues and had a question or two I hope someone can help with.
The symptoms:-
- port prop trim stuck indication at 25, display moves when I actually trim up and down but reverts to 25 after I stop trimming
- starboard fuel tank on both display and analogue gauge stuck at 100%, I have moved and cleaned the float - the float sensor resistance moves from 33 to 260 ohms through travel range and travel seems free when out of the tank.
- sea temp alarm HI at 82 degrees F
- depth on smartcraft bounces all over the place when in motion

i have reset sensors from settings screen but it made no difference. I cannot see any earth issues at the engine.
I know these could all be separate issues but it seems weird that they all appear the same time, the boat is new to me but thse errors wee not present last year ( a friend is PO). It has been sitting idle in water for 8 months and v few hours on it last season.

I have read somewhere online (can't find it now) there is a connector block somewhere for the smartcraft - can anyone help me find that.

are there any other ideas or issues I should explore before I give a kidney to a shop?
