Very cool. My 300 doesnt have cabinets there, but now I'm curious how my bolsters attach. Something to think about until spring.

Thank goodness I figured out how to change the tab numbers via the URL vs clicking tab to tab to tab! :)

Yea, I looked at the newer boats that have motorized or pull out shades, priced it out and realized that using some fiberglass poles and a sewing machine I could make it custom for my boat. took a few hours and a bit of measuring, but it works great and there are no poles that get in the way.
Well if you could send some close ups of that sun shade that would be grand. Attachment points and pole types? Do u use it underway or just at rest? Do u have to remove before putting up aft canvas? Material?

Harmon:

I will get some pics up close soon. in the Summer, I leave it extended the whole time. Underway, in the slip etc. It zips into the bimini canvas and attaches to the poles to hold it in place. No that hard to do but I did have to make the two brackets that hold the poles on to the Arch (I used a 3d printer, but you could to the same thing in a vice and file.

Thanks for your interest, I will get those up as soon as I can.

Hello CSR, I have the 06 in blue. do we know what the color name is called for that year? Im trying to do some gelcoat repairs and the Spectrum Color website has about 5 options for that year. is this a trial and error process$$$ Also the name of the white portions of the boat?

I may as well ask, I have some fine spiders on the swim platform, what can be done to fill in or at least make them less visable?

Contact Sea Ray customer service with your hull id # and they will give you the correct color numbers to go back to Spectrum with.

Good morning folks, it seems last year that the shower sump box was not draining correctly. The A/C unit runs in to that box as we know. The pump would kick on when float switch was submerged, but it seemed like the pump wouldnt prime correct and start to suck. If i hold the float switch up it would seem to catch or prime and then pump water. It was strange.
Also, where does that discharge hose lead to? Does it go to the galley manifold behind the drawers/fridge. It may be clogged because a lot of water runs back in to the box when the pump disengages.

Another question, my hull is midnight blue, had it compounded and waxed at the yard I store at. The shine lasted till about early July and the clouds came back, esp on the direct eastern exposed side(starboard) in the slip. Im doing it myself this year just for fun! Question is, what causes the clouds to come back up to surface and become visible? Is it the direct sun, is it the salt water and the sun? or just salt water?
I want to get started sooner than later on the job at hand, but if I do it now on the hard, I dont want it fail even earlier. If the boat is on land and a bit shaded by other boats, port is now facing east, will I lose the effects of the compounding sitting on the dirt? Im just curious

I believe that is sent to the gray water tank. Would have to pull up you manual to know for sure. Could your float be engaging too soon and not getting a good prime? May be worth opening it up and slowly adding water to see what’s happening.

These sumps are weak at best. They never pump out more than they leave in the reservoir. The newer ones have a small hole on top of the discharge to help with priming but it just lessens the amount of water they evacuate. Thinking of switching to a Whale.

Rule does have a new design (98B) that looks beter designed but I have not seen any reviews of it.

thank you all, it def goes overboard. In hte summer with AC running and condensing 24/7 that box fills up and never seems to empty. And not to mention a funky slick sometimes. I add peroxide to the pan under the AC unit to try to control that.

As to my other question, anyone?

I also have the blue hull. I pay to have it done twice a year. But, I'm only in the water for about 7 months so I can't help you here.

Shower sump goes through the common drain under the galley counter.
