I have graded my arch and cockpit lighting just by switching the lamps for led ones.

Hello folks. Im at the boat today and get things in order and stocked. An issue arrose with the head when the wife flushed. There is a super strong odor of bad tank smell everytime we flush. Aside from the filter unit what else should i check, the vent on top? Plumbing parts. What is that vent on top for, pump out sucktion relief.

Yes, it is to allow displaced air out. Any chance your filter got wet? If so that is your issue. Also if it is more that 2 seasons old, that could be it as well.
Also - you may check the vent tube from the tank to the thru hull. May be blocked by dirt dobber nest, spider nest, etc. That would force the air out of the tank at its least resisted location. i.e. hose connection. After that, start checking for leaks.

Thanks Korkie, it turned out the filter had water in it and it was at least 2 years old, prob older. Swapped in a new one and the issue is gone. Thanks again.

Need help from my 320 peeps ASAP. I have my new CT16 16,000 BTU Dometic on the way to replace my old unit that has crapped out. I have tried to remove the carpeted part that sits directly over the air conditioner. So unless I am missing something this does not come out. I need to get the ductwork off the old unit so I can remove the old unit. What are the tips and tricks to get this done? Also after several emails, Dometic came back with another follow-up email recommending a different unit. They are now recommending the DTG12 after I ask about using the CT16. I can return the CT16 but would really like to upgrade to the 16,000 BTU. Can anyone offer any guidance based on your experience with changing out your old unit for a new one. It is really hot right now and the admiral wants AC working on the boat LOL.

Does anyone know the capacity of the water pump for the air conditioner. For the new unit I just ordered it must be a minimum of 500 GPH.

Update to my two previous posts. The carpeted piece is not removable. You will need to remove the AC unit through the opening in the carpeted piece which come to find out is not a big deal. I had to add the additional drain hole on the front of the pan as the two drain fittings that come on the pan face forward and when installed in the boat the unit slops down aft. Had to run to Lowe's and get some plastic cement and drill a drain hole in the pan. The upgrade to 16,000 BTU's is a nice upgrade on our boats. It took about 3 hours to get the old unit out much of that time was spent trying to figure out how to get the old thermostat wire out and fish the new wire as the new thermostat is an 8 pin wire.

Well...my filter all of a sudden went stinky too. I thought I ordered from Amazon 2 years ago which would give me the exact fit of the waste filter but I cannot find it.
Does anyone have handy the link for exact replacement? I did try and search myslef but nothing I could find.

Thanks!

You can make your own - there are several threads on here about it. Cost is about 1/5 of buying one retail. Then, when you need to refresh it, cost is pennies.

I changed out mine as well. Made all the difference in the world.

Looks great! I’d love to get info on your aft canvas set up. That looks like a great setup.
Yea, I looked at the newer boats that have motorized or pull out shades, priced it out and realized that using some fiberglass poles and a sewing machine I could make it custom for my boat. took a few hours and a bit of measuring, but it works great and there are no poles that get in the way.

Just completed the bolster mod for the bed with the idea from this thread. Just waiting on a mattress now. What a difference, cant believe all the bed space it frees up
