Ok, guys, where the heck is my HVAC filter?? Is it a wash and replace unit or do I need to buy a replacement assuming its dirty?

Under your Vberth. Lift out the bed you can then reach down inside the two holes, grab both sides of the filter and pull it up and out. There is a lip at the bottom that the filter fits back into. You have to do it by feel and I always get bloody knuckles when I pull it out and back in.

Wow, would never have looked there and I don't recall my manual showing where its at. Thanks!

There is a panel you can lift out so you can see it but it is easier to work from the two outer holes. Have you found the trim tab reservoir yet? That's a real pain to get to and fill.

Need help to the GFI for my 290 Sundancer. I have done the gfi hunt and still haven't found it. All the outlets must be inline behind the GFI with the reset. I have a 2007 290 Sundancers with twin 5.0. Does anyon know where it is hidden??

It's in the middle cabinet on your left as you walk down the steps. The one that is just above the end table. Open it and then it's on the left panel along the side below the shelf. The mp3 port is above the shelf.

Keeping the thread going....I am having trouble (dealer as well) getting my drivers bolster seat fixed. The company thats makes it has sent 2...one too big and one too small. Anyone else have the same issues?
Frankly...I''d like a bigger seat, this is a little too big for me...and a little too small for 2. I'd like to get something like the 320 seat if it would fit.

What's wrong with the bolster?

It started very soon after I bought it. When it is down (sitting position) not supporting your legs and kinda rolling forward. So if you are sitting it makes no support. When it is up it kinda does the same thing. The inner part must have come loose and doesn't hold it's shape.

Mine does that too.

BTW...went against my better judgement and bought the extended warranty thru Pinnacle. (2,000). I just want to rest easy for the next 5 years.

Seems like every weekend I come home with more questions about my boat then I had before I got there . . .

I haven't trailered my boat yet so I just found out my trailer buttons for my trim on my controls don't raise my drives up anymore than I can with the trim on the control lever. This can't be right, can it?

I can raise and lower them just fine with either of the bottons but I would have thought hitting the trailer buttons would raise them further. Thoughts?

I just got my new 290DA 2008 and really like the way it handles. I previously had a 260DA with a 6.2L and it got a little unstable over 15kts.
First day we got it we got some heavy rains and with the camper canvas on we had some water leaks from the rain in the cockpit. One bad spot was under the front center window. The water was running down both sides of the dash along the inside window line. Also water was coming through the zipper above the center front window.
Just wondering if anybody else has experienced the same type of leaks with this boat?
Thanks for any feedback.

I'm actually very impressed with how dry my cockpit stays. I get nary a drop even in the hardest rain falls. The water you see running down the sides on the inside of the cockpit is normal I think. Anyone else? I know I have it but it seems to be designed for that and to drain overboard. My only problem is that the cutout under the windshield frame on the starboard side doesn't seem big enough to handle the flow in huge down pours and so some runs over the edge onto my control area. I need to get a razor blade and remove a little bit more of that rubber.

I bet your leak on the zipper is from the seal where the zipper piece attaches to the arch. Maybe a bead of caulk there?

Can you answer my question re the trailer trim buttons? Do yours raise your drive higher than the throttle trim button?

My trailer buttons do raise higher than the trim button. Mine take a good bit of force on the buttons to activate.

Your set up may be similiar to mine. I can raise both drives by the single trim switch at the same time. I can use the 2 trim/trailer switches located on top of the throttle assembly to trim them seperately. Use those individual switches to raise them until they wont go any higher then press down slightly harder on those switches and the drives will go up even higher into the trailer posistion.
