Those look Great Sláinte! How are they attached and to what are they attached to? The swim platform or the stern of the boat?

Thank you!

elevy,
They are attached to the swim platform. This picture shows a little better. I am not even sure of the brand or how he attached them. My mechanic called while she was out of the water having the drives replaced and asked if I wanted some LED's put on. Figured whats another few hundred bucks after I just purchased two new drives! I gave him the go ahead. I was happy with the results!

Can anyone tell me what are the correct plugs these days for the 4.3l motors? I know originally they were AC 41-932 and then were switched to AC 41-933 but now NAPA is telling me the plugs were switched again. I wanted to make sure I was getting the right ones.

Bucit,

I use the non-platinum MR43LTS AC-Delco plugs.

Hello, Not sure if I'm doing this right, but I need help to find the head system overboard discharge valve. I will have a USCG Auxiliay inspection this Saturday, and I need to be able to show it is closed. The picture in the manual I have show it is next to the generator sea cock, but there is only the generator sea cock. Anybody help would be greatly appreciated.

Andy,

Your boat may not have one. That being said, take a look at the waste tank. The macerator pump is mounted on that. Once you find that follow the exit line to the seacock. That should have an electrical switch on it that interrupts the macerator pump circuit when the seacock is closed.

Back in 04, what was the 280 selling for? I know msrp was around 150's but what was the price out the door for one with twin 4.3?

A/C leaked onto floor last Labor Day Weekend, figured it's time to replace that rusted pan... While doing that shouldn't I just replace the system and be done with future problems, cost? Also, port side starter was acting up, probably about to go, please tell me the motor doesn't have to be pulled to replace starter, and how much you think this will cost?

Thanks,

Kevin

I never turn my ignition switches off while I'm on the boat. With the switches on, what would be draining the batteries? Never had an issue. I also have a very small first aid kit.

I'm thinking that the fuel to the engines aren't being shut down to the engines with ignition key on. I always turn my keys to the "off" position.

Kevin,

If the unit is still working you can replace the pan. I ordered the replacement pan last year an my leak problem was solved. I ordered it from a local dealer.

My bad, meant battery switch

On the battery bank with off, 1, and 2 while out on the water and anchored... I turn this to 2, and the other battery bank to "off". When I leave to start the engines, I turn the battery bank with 1&2 to 1, and the other bank to on. That's how I perform battery management while out on the water... Keys to ignition only "on" when starting or running the engines...

What is this wire, its just hanging down the side of my A/C unit? Thanks in advance.

kevin

The wire was hanging over the side of the A/C touching the side of the metal drip pan, outside of it that is. Where should it be?

There should be a small plastic bracket mounting on the outer edge of the intake side of the evaporator coil. Between the air inlet grille and the unit.
