I think that it is definitely related to a vent or a small/slow leak where the fill pipe meets the tank or right at the fill hole. In other words the fill pipe should be left empty and some head room left in the tank. I think the leak is forward and the water slowly moves aft to the step. The visible portion of the bilge is bone dry and has been bone dry all season. Can't say enough about hoe much I love the boat and the overall quality of Sea Ray!There may be a vent hose on your fill. Find where that vent goes and have some one watch it when you fill. My guess is when you overfill the vent line is then getting water in it and draining to your bilge and then creeping forward to beneath your step area.
