Congratulations on your new boat Joe. The 350 mag will be sweet in that boat. If your ever in the Manasquan or even Sandy hook area let me know. I could use your expertise on the 300. Kind regards, Brianjg300da said:Glad to see this thread as we have just ordered a 2007 240DA, scheduled for a March delivery. We recently sold our 2002 300DA, after we were notified that our slip for next season would be approx 6k. We belong to private club now and the slip fee is less than $200, but is limited to 25' max. I know it's a big step down but we don't want to give up the cruising and overnighting. Anyway, would be happy to exchange specs and experiences with other 240 owners.

Ive been in 3-4 footers with 20knot winds and let me tell you its no fun in a 240. THank goodness it was only 2 miles i had to go from harbor to harbor. Took 20 minutes to go 2 miles. Couldnt be up on plane because the boat would have gotten beat to death. Prepare to get throughly drenched in the cockpit as those 4 footers come splashing over the bow in really cool huge waves  Be careful if you do go out in that chop with the 240.islandhopper00 said:I do worry about having enough power to run in the ocean with a heavy sea(3-4 ft). I'll see this summer.
