Why not have a local boat hauler pull it for you and put it on stands/blocks for the winter? for what you'll pay for a trailer and the wear and tear you'll put on whatever you have pulling it, it's just not worth it. Add in insurance costs and the what if's, it's just not worth it with a boat that size.

Hi all,

Just posted a note in the General Forum - Sold my 340DA.

Wanted to drop in here and say thank you to all the 340 owners out there for all the help, insight, and advise you have provided. Sometimes it was not an answer to my post - but the ability to read your posts that gave me guidance. Thank you.

For all of those that have a 340 DA - wow - what a boat. Listed to close in 2 weeks. Take care of the boat and your investment will be protected. This has to be one of the most broadly popular boats Sea Ray ever built. I loved my 340 - will miss it.

For anyone who is thinking about buying a 340DA - and reading the posts to get educated ( that's what I did a couple of years ago). This is a great boat. Get the 8.1's. My reason for selling is that I am moving to a larger boat at a different location. Find a good one, you cant go wrong with the model.

Mark, I just sent you a PM

Let me if know if you don't get it and I'll get my cell number to you so we can just talk...

I'm looking to purchase some of those EZ-Extend zippers for my canvas. Anyone know whether we have the #8 or #10 size zippers on our glass panels and Aft canvas?

Mark my canvas guy told me that from the factory they are number 8's and when he does new zippers he replaces them with 10's.

Could someone/anyone please share with me their fuel consumption stats -- 8.1 Mercruisers?

I found a chart on boattest.com but it was for out drives. This boat has v-drives.

Thanks in advance.

At 3350-3450 you'll be burning 28-30gph. This is best cruise for this boat and power. About .9-1.0 gph

Thanks, ~175 miles from Punta Gorda to Key West. First time I'll probably duck into South Seas and filler up. If the weather is sketchy Marco Island, but it is pretty far out of the way.

I keep detailed records to track my fuel consumption at every fill-up. Over the past 3 seasons my total average is 16.8GpH across both engines. That includes all ranges of RPMs and various journeys. On lengthy trips with a lot of WOT travel, I get about 0.7 mpg (e.g., went 82 miles and burned 120 gallons recently).
