does anyone know what amplifiers are installed from factory for the stereo? i want to upgrade cockpit speakers but would like to know how much power is going to them, thanks

They have to sound awesome in there right?
Yes they do. I put M770s in all 4 stock locations. I added a set of M880s and 2 10" subs also. I power it all with JL M1000/5 and M600/6 amps. It's very loud and clear. I'll try to post pics tonight.

Here are pics

Wow that is ridiculous, must sound amazing. Did u order everything online?
I am VERY happy with the sound. Not so sure my dock neighbors feel the same.
I have a local shop here that gives me prices that are equal to online. I am a huge advocate for JL Audio if you can't tell. I installed it in my 280 also just a slimmed down version.

I’ve got a thing going with my shower bilge pump, and just curious if anyone else has experienced this, and what did you do? Every time someone showers, seems the bilge pump and float work ok but don’t stay on long enough? After the pump shuts off, water slowly fills up again and the pump just starts cycling. It comes on every 5-7 minutes or so and will just keep doing that until I get in there and manually hold the float switch for a bit to pump enough water out where it won’t come back on again. Otherwise the sound of it cycling will drive me nuts all night. I’ve tried pouring cleaners through, but no luck. Anyone?

I am experiencing similar on mine. The shower is filling and draining slow into the sump. Then it fills and pumps out. Eventually it all drains though.

I am thinking there is a clog in the shower drain line or a overly restricted sump pump connection. I will report more as I look into it. I have heard of hair ball clogs in the line so that and the connect will be my first inspections.

Only on mine the shower drain is fine. The water is coming back in through the bilge pump line. Water the shower bilge pump has pumped out, slowly backs up back into the box after the pump has pumped it out. If the bilge pump would just stay in awhile longer, it would solve the issue it seems. Not sure how I can rig it to do that though.

This is what I have. They are behind the DC panel.

Sounds like some kind of backflow valve would be needed. I think the problem is the float senses the water level is low so it turns off but there is still water in the line and gravity is feeding it back. I am surprised that it would be that much water causing it to start again. Does it ever stop?

Last weekend it cycled for two days until I finally cracked it open, and ran the float switch manually for 30 seconds. It didn’t do it after that, so I guess that cleared the line. Maybe there is a valve somewhere malfuntioning.

Or a backflow in line that got clogged open and now cleared.

thanks kevin, wanna upgrade speakers trying to figure out if i have enough power to run them. thanks for the pic

sometimes the float switch and or bilge pump goes bad in those sump boxes, and then someone just swaps it out with a different switch or pump instead of changing the whole box. so maybe the switch or pump is not right for the application. maybe theres a float switch that kicks the pump on and allows it to run a little while longer

i just found a float switch on west marine for 19.99 its a rolling ball float switch, says its designed with anti spike feature which prevents rapid on/off cycling which is a problem with many other switches

Seems like there is a built in check valve in the discharge line of the sump box. Keeps water from draining back to the box.

Re: Official 2003.5-2008 340 Sundacer Thread

Anybody have any idea where the ambient temperature sensor(s) is? My air and water temperature are way off and I have an active alarm for the sensor.

Should be below the steering wheel and to the right, next to the cig power port.
