Official (1998-2002) 310 Sundancer Thread

340 I would many question on this. Cel - 787-458-1136. I tried to send you a series of questions but some reason they did not go through.

On the 2002 310 , under the engine hatch attached to the hatch it self are these 2 bottles on each side with a long tube going into each radiator, i keep seeing that pink liquid inside them slowly dissapating over 3 yrs.
what is that? its almost empty on both sides, anti freeze???, and do i fill up each plastic bottle? a boating supply store told me the liquid expands under the
heat of the engine and those 2 bottles were the over flow, but with fill caps on each top of the bottle?

Also behind the steering wheel on top is a screw on cap, is that for steering oil?? i hope so cause today i filled it up:grin: and topped it off, and
after cleaning the bilge with bilge cleaner and WD-40ing the rudder linkage, it seems the steering is not as grabby as before.very smooth turning....

Hey billnpat antifreeze does evaporate after time. The overflow tanks should be topped up do not mix green and pink coolant unless the container says they are compatible as it will gel. The top of the steering is the fill and bleed as it is the highest point of the system. Don't uses too much wd40 on rubber after time it causes it to swell. They have stuff special for rubber lube.

If anyone does an upgrade and adds an extended swim platform I would be interested in buying your old ladder

Should be a "hot" and "cold" line on the coolant tank.....don't "top off" that tank...when the antifreeze gets hot it expands...just an FYI.
