Official 1980's Weekender/Sundancer 300 thread

In the Spring, which is considered March 1, the counties put frost laws in effect that restrict oversize loads from being on county roads. The warm up following the frozen ground can soften the ground under the roads so there's a period of restriction while the ground thaws and settles.

I would love to but from what I've seen so far all the fire depts down there are full time. They do county wide fire districts in FL so they're pretty big depts and rely on full time ppl.

Just ordered LED bulbs for all of the cabin fixtures from Amazon. A little more expensive than ebay, and a lot less than some of the other web sites that sepcialize in them. Bulbs for the bell fixtuures were about 8.50 each, and the ones for the rectangular fixtures were 9.00 each. Can't wait to get them and see how they work.

Well shaun im sure you will find another way to help people, mabey a part time position will be open to help place frozen northerners in jobs houses and slips! Then you would be a real csr hero.Glen ps:i just finished the starboard side rubrail down with buff magic today so it topsides and yachtbright polish next saturday .The river is frozen ,there were about 40 guys fishing out there.Trees are sticking up everywhere(i meen roots on top 30 ft above the ice) from a thaw and rain a few weeks back, its gonna be a late launch i think.

Neat. I'm about to embark on an LED install as well as an existing bulb upgrade. Can you fill us in on what bulbs fit those?

An alternative if you end up not liking them are the LED fixtures I got off eBay that I posted earlier in this thread. They replaced the rectangular lights, look a bit more modern, were very inexpensive and after using them a while I'm very happy with the light output.

Once I get the shrinkwrap off I plan to pull the bulbs for the anchor/mast light, stern light, and running lights and see what replacements I can find for those.
Sometime during the season I hope to also come up with an idea to replace the cockpit lights with LED fixtures. Maybe something that can light up in either white or blue.

I saw yours from your pictures and they were so nice looking I just assumed they would be out of my budget. Did you get those fixtures on eBay, too?

I pulled the cap off the anchor light. Here's what I found. I've no idea if there's an LED version of this one.

I ended up replacing my anchor light with led and relocated it to the radar arch. Not a fan of it on the windshield personally.

Wow, those are a good deal. Did you replace the one in the head? Will the double fit there? What color are they, a bright white, warm white, 1980's Sea Ray off white......?

Yes I did. And I think they were only 20 something a piece! Let me see if I can find them again...

Here ya go!

Single:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/68-LED-RV-D...Parts_Accessories&hash=item35bd9ed6c1&vxp=mtr

Double:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/136-LED-12V...Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d0670deca&vxp=mtr

Singles are plenty bright, the doubles would probably land aircraft on your bow!

I did the one in the head but I did all of them with singles. I only posted the doubles to give you another option. All of mine are singles, there all a bright white and the singles are plenty bright.

They finished with my new camper enclosure today. Only have a few crummy pics and the eisenglass still has the protective wrap on it, but you can get the idea...
