Something about a girl...that works on her own boat 

Oh a hint, never put new props on unless your ready for the season to end... Low tides and now rain have kept me off the water all week.
Hopefully the rain will clear up in a couple of days for you. We're supposed to have a short dry spell late this week before it hits again for trick or treating on Sat. :( I'll try to send some of the dry stuff your way!

I finally got my boat on the trailer and I've got an ugly pic to prove it.

Kinda hurts to see them up and out of the water doesn't it?

Whats next for her?

TitanTN, could you post a pic of the frame cross members and bunks of that trailer? I had a Venture a few years ago and we couldn't make the boat fit the thing. They made two different styles of cross members and bunks, just wondering which you got and how its set up. A shot from the stern looking forward would be great. Thanks

My condolences to all of you hauling out for winter. I was in the UP last week and seeing all the shrink wrap nearly brought tears to my eyes!

(Today's real tears brought to us by sunny, beautiful 60 degree weather....while my boat's stuck on a trailer waiting for sealant to set. :smt009 )

I'm scared to even make a list. Going through all the systems and doing maintenance that hasn't been addressed in a while. Impellers, pumps, strainers, hoses, belts, plugs, etc. Re-doing most of the upholstery in the interior. Figuring out why the fridge only works on AC, re-doing the bimini structure, installing electronics, buffing and graphics, etc.

Sure. I'll be glad to post some pics. I'm out of town this week, so it'll be a few days. It took me several (many) attempts to get the trailer setup right. I had to put some 3" blocks under the brackets that support the beams. My current issue is that the transducer for the depth sounder is right on a bunk and it's a real old style from the 80s. The transducer is at least 3 inches tall. My plan is to take it off this winter, but we'll see how it goes. Other than that, the boat fits the trailer well.

Mine had a loose connection in the DC wiring coming into the cavity where the fridge is--the spring loaded fuse holder wasn't closing tightly enough to maintain contact.

Thanks for that clue. I was hoping it might be something like that, so I'll be keeping an eye out for that fuse.

Splash down! Finally back in the drink after 3+ weeks of silliness, including mechanic saying, "Sorry, can't keep working on yours. Got other jobs lined up. Guess you're gonna have to haul it to dry storage or something and wait for spring."

Thanking my stars that the hauler had an emergency contact who was able to show up the next day and, with First Mate's help, correct the new problems in very short order.

I made a thread just for this question a while back and probably will refresh it, but do any of you current or former Cumberland River/Old Hickory/Percy Priest folks have referrals you'd care to share? Need to expand my service network so I'm not at the mercy of a single provider.

We gotta fly you out to VA and the first mate. My guy lets you work along side him and he teaches you how to fix things on the boat. He is replacing my oil lines to the oil cooler now. He and his crew are a damn good bunch, they even clean the deck area that they have been working in.

All the maintenance crews are scrambling to make the winterizing money.

Are those the lines to the trans cooler?

Would be fun to have an internship vacation! The new mechanic said he wished he had an apprentice like FM--if it's in his realm of knowledge, he anticipates what's required and does it without being told. He likes efficiency and tends toward perfectionism, so gets very frustrated when people lollygag or take shortcuts.

(And he left flowers in the boat for me yesterday because he knew I was going to the dock last night to check on it. Between the boat drama, a health situation for a family member, and a few other things, I need every extra smile I can get right now, and he came through yet again. I'm a lucky, lucky girl.)

Oh man! Remember I just replaced the port side cooler. What a PITA it was to get at.

Did you ever get a few runs in with the new 4 blade depth finders? LOL

Since I put them on I've only gotten out twice. The last time out it was blowing a gale and the river was pissed off! I might get out on Friday

Here's a pic. I hope it's the angle you were wanting to see - if not, I can take more. As you can see, I still have some adjustments to make, but they're minor compared to the primary setup I did over the last several weeks.

We had such a nice day today that I was able to finally get started on buffing and polishing the hull. I wasn't able to get a good angle for a before and after photo, but here's an "after" photo.

Thanks, that's the view I needed! You have the style frame cross members I wanted but dif mot have. The style I had were arches and as you adjusted the bunks wider, the tops of bunks angled in more, causing alignment issues.
BTW what is the weight rating and model number of your trailer tntitan?
