Maybe we can convince President Osama that we poor underprivileged gas boat owners are being denied our God-given rights to a diesel boat, so he'll give up new diesel boats.

I think the real secret to success in the later Clinton years was a Democrat as President and a Republican congress. The Republicans only had a few pet projects. . .which the Democrat President refused to let go through, and the Republicans weren't going to let *anything* the Democrat President go through.
The other combinations that I have seen in my lifetime, Pres (d) - Congress (d) / Pres (R) -Congress (R) / and Pres (R) - Congress (D) all clearly don't work in favor of the *people*. Too bad we can't get Obama as President and take Pelosi and the Dems in the house down.
Maybe in 2010?
