I was in Shoprite the other day, picking up some basics for turkey day when an announcement came over the wire, "Due to a state mandate, our stores will stop providing plastic or any bags at checkout, please bring your own reusable cloth carry bags".
I looked in my cart and thought, hope its not today, all this crap will be rolling around in my truck because of these hardons, but realized it wasnt that day.
So I proceeded to get what I needed. I grabbed a bunch of plastic soda bottles and plastic mixer bottles, then cruised to the meat section, past dozens of frozen turkeys wrapped in plastic, past the meats wrapped in plastic and in plastic trays, went over to the deli section and got some cold cuts in zip lock plastic bags, then to the dairy section and got a plastic jug of milk, cant forget plastic coffee kcups, then to the veggies, where there were rolls of plastic bags to fill with green stuff, on my list was shampoo for the admiral, so I browsed the health care section of plastic bottles to find whatever that shit was, I had to steer around a table with hand sanitizer with a plastic bottle of alcohol gel....and on and on.
When I got to the register, as I was inserting my plastic debit card in the plastic CC machine, I thought, wow, wont it be special when those wafer thin handle bags are gone, life will be so much better........
