NJ Statewide plastic bag ban

I completely understand your initial reaction to the plastic bag ban. It can be a bit inconvenient at first, especially when you're used to the convenience of those thin plastic bags. But in the long run, it's a step in the right direction for the environment.
Ya, lets get back to paper bags

What i dont get is it’s supposed to stopbags from clogging up roads and waterways but i never see any. Is this a solution for something that isnt a problem.
And what am I supposed to put the cat shit in on collection day? Oh, right, the farking plastic bags that i have to purchase instead of the plastic bags I got for free.
How about i just throw the cat shit on the lawn of the county executive that made this ban?
My dogs I always trained to shit in the woods not on the lawn.

Like Mass. there will be super thin plastic ones in the produce isle
Which will be very much like the rest of the civilized, educated world BEFORE the libtards got a big enough following to get re-elected after instituting such policies based on nothing more than ridiculous bullshit.

Sigh. . . . I digress.

So you like the idea of single use plastic that will never degrade?

Not so much. I guess I didn't understand your meaning when you said "super thin".

We don't have that nonsense down here, our thin plastic bags are what the pet owners use after unloading their groceries at the house.

I’m for banning all single use plastics.

Nonsense because everybody does it? 3/4 of your population in swfl are spanish speaking immigrants. Do you think they give a shit about the environment?

I'm all for saving the world, and don't fault you if that is or is not your gig.

The nonsense I was referring to was the over zealous elected officials that pretend they are saving the world by mandating what everybody else can and can not do. If you find that scenario other than nonsensical, you are free to vote to reelect them.

I simply can't respond to the rest of your post as I don't understand the relevance.

I guess I should also point out since it evidently was not apparent, that like you, I could well do without single use plastics and I'd prefer paper bags myself.

If anyone objects to plastic bags they are free to not use them. Please dont force your beliefs on others. Much of the products we voluntarily buy are packaged in layers of plastic do how is a bag gonna make any difference? I recycle all bags for re use.
In NJ his royal highness also made recycled paper bags criminal. Cant tell how much gas I have wasted when I got to the store and forgot to bring any bags. Wonder what the cost in lost sales and human aggrevation is? Also wonder who pays for all the stolen goods people could stuff away as they walk the store with big bags. There are always unintended effects to control of others.
So if you dont like plastic bags simply dont use them and stop buying things packaged in it.

I live in WA and we've had a single-use plastic bag ban for a few years now. If you don't have a bag and need one, the multi-use heavier plastic bags are usually $.08.

We have several of those in the back of the SUV along with a few fabric bags. My biggest problem is remembering to grab few bags to take into the store with me. That's where most of those multi-use bags came from.

I think most of you are making much ado about nuffin.

I have used single-use plastic bags tied to fence lines to help sack-out jumpy horses, and they usually turn to powder withing 2 month's time in the SW Idaho sun. However, I much prefer to use the multi-use cloth bags if only because I don't have to worry about them going all "Home Alone" on me.

The damage we, here in the states, do to the enviro is but a pee hole in the snow compared the the countries in the area on the other side of the pacific and north of Diego Garcia.

(notice how I didn't name names so not to offend in this day and age?)

Until they demand those others to limit polution (and sanction if they don't), then don't expect us to pick up the slack for them.

When younger we called some chicks a double bagger. One on you and one on her in case yours fell off. Young horny and took whoever we could get.
It must have been even worse than that around here when I was growing up. We had triple baggers. That way, if both of yours fell off, you had a third bag to throwup into.
