New Site Update - Report problems here

Holy crap, I didn’t realize you were a victim of this whole deal. I noticed you posted a lot the night in question, but wow in fact you were the one that told me my user name had been changed
Ya it wasn’t me…when the hacker took over my account, I was watching……it was really frustrating seeing yourself post crap and you couldn‘t do anything about it….you could tell he was trying to be funny but he sucked at it….. i did not have a good feeling that night

There must be a way to keep these bots out. Even if it means requiring more info. at sign up and from existing members it would be worth it, otherwise more problems will be ahead for us.

Typically, the heat exchanger in air/heat units stops working when the water temperature drops below a certain point. It can vary, but usually around 40-45 degrees Fahrenheit. But hey, don't take my word for it!

Two factor authentication?

Gated registration and activation. This is not uncommon and even a feature on Facebook private groups.

All registrations requests should set to pending a review by admin or the use of a valid invitation code from an already approved member. Then the account would be created. All info is public so this is only required to post. We did this on a board I managed several years ago but most of the info was not public until you logged in. Our implementation used a locked down registration and a request form separate from the board.

I am an admin on FB group Sea Ray Classics and none of the group is public and must pass a couple of questions to enter. But one nice feature is you can put a poster on probation and there post's need to be approved first. Yep, more work but keeps the scammers/bots out.
