Hi Gang,
I think I've died and gone to Heaven! I can't believe I found a place that loves Sea Ray Boats as much as I do. My wife was starting to say I was weird, but then I showed her Club Sea Ray and she now thinks I'm normal again. This is an awesome site!
I bought my first Sea Ray (190BR) in 1999 and I just sold it. In the 10 years we ownded it, the only maintainence I had to do on it was to replace the battery, outside of winterizing it. It was one solid boat and it stills runs as good today as it did when I purchased it brand new.
My family and I love to boat and we knew it was time to upgrade to a sport cruiser. Seeing as how we have a short season (May 1st to Labor Day weekend), we decided on the 260 Sundancer. I started looking on the internet and got in touch with the guys (Tony and Larry) down at Lake Wylie Marina, SC. They had a leftover 2008 260 DA that was loaded and invited us to come down to the Mid Atlantic Boat Show and check it out.
As you can imagine, once we saw it we were sold. Between how gorgeous the Sea Ray was and how well they treated us, we signed on the bottom line that day. We are so excited. My three kids (2 girls, 1 boy) are jumping out of their skin, not to mention my wife and I.
I must admit, however, I am a little nervous about going from a 190BR to a 260DA. Any advice you guys can give me on steering, trim tabs, or maintainence would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for welcoming me into the Club and thanks to Tony and Larry at Lake Wylie Marina for helping make my family's dream come true.
