New flooring installed.....woven PVC......Pics

MM,

Thanks for the kind words. I am under 3 years until I go full time with my Canvas business. Probably wind up in SC or NC on a big lake.

I had enough left over to do my head floor. I made a template from 6mil plastic a few days ago.

Here's a pic. I just laid it in and it seems to stay put without snaps.

That looks amazing. Do you plan to just leave it for showers? I couldn't tell if your boat has a separate stall or if its a wet head.

Separate shower stall.

Dave, VERY nice! How does cost compare to replacement berber-type snap-in cockpit carpeting? Don't need numbers - just "higher," "lower" or "about the same."

Looks great!

It does not absorb water. It does not shrink.

I am using Infinity fabrics luxury woven PVC.

This stuff is a hot commodity this summer the pricing is a bit of a moving target. I think it comes in a little higher than snap in carpet and lower than sea deck.

It is not a shower stall, it looks like a soft drink storage area!

Ha ha....we actually take showers occasionally. But it does hold lots of Bud Light.

Does it heat up in the sun? We were thinking of the tec dec stuff but it seems to get pretty warm.

It feels pretty good underfoot not too hot. I think it comes down to, darker colors will be hotter after sun exposure than lighter colors.

So pretty much anything will be warmer after sun exposure, than white fiberglass.

If you have any fabric left after you do my cockpit carpet, I am thinking I may have you make a shower insert too.....Looks nice, and probably would keep the floor a bit cleaner. The bare floor can get slippery when it gets wet, maybe the fabric would be fix that issue and look nicer too!

Make a template from 6 mill plastic. Make sure you write "top" on the top of the plastic and the stripe orientation........mail it to me.
