Took her this morning to the dealer, he de-winterized it for me and made sure it was running properly, he had gotten my letters made up and put them on for me ( he had them done in black with some red trim), and he put a snap on my small walk through cushion seat to keep wind from blowing it up when driving down the highway - all at no charge. The dealer I bought this new boat from , has really come through with flying colors for me.

Anyway, here she is hooked up and ready for the maiden voyage tomorrow ( Sat ). Of course, I will close up and lower bimini before traveling, and the new Magma grill I put on will be stowed away as well. I will only hook the grill up when anchored and ready to grill some burgers for lunch.

My new Class III hitch did great, I got my receiver, coupler, and spare tire locks in, I have them hooked up as well. Fuel tank is full, the engine sounded great at the dealer, everything seemed to work properly.

I can't thank the kind folks here on this forum enough, for all the advice and tips - everyone has been so helpful for this first time new boat owner, what a great forum to be able to come to when one needs tips.
Below are some pics I snapped a few minutes ago, after getting the Magma mounted where I want it.

Looking good! I hope you have a great time out there. Great to hear your dealer gave you such great service. Enjoy those burgers.

Oh, and make sure you put a twist in the straps for the bimini top so it won't vibrate so much. Mine wore thru the cleavises after 10 hours but since I started twisting them and keeping them real tight they haven't had a problem.

Thanks guys!!
blaster - thanks for the tip on the bimini straps, never would have thought of that, will do.

good looking set up......i'm sure you will enjoy it very much......just a quick comment about the mounting of the spare tire on the trailer....it is hard to tell how close it is to the boat from the pics, but i am wondering if the tire will leave black marks on the hull when you are retrieving the boat....i would think about relocating the spare tire to keep it away from the path of the boat....maybe mount the tire on the tounge of the trailer just behind the trailer jack....

Thanks for the photos. I am about 1-2 week away from my maiden voyage here in MN with my new (to me) 190. I like how you mounted your grill. We figured we would do a couple day trips before deciding to mount on the boat or get a portable for the beach. Good luck tomorrow!

Hmm, good point on the spare, the dealer mounted it for me ( he threw it in with the deal), will see how it does - if it appears it is going to do that, I will see about moving it.

Thanks!

Thanks much, and good luck for you here in a couple of weeks!
We had a cheaper , portable grill that we had for beaching,( back when we had the 1990 180 BR but a lot of times it is just the two of us, and more of a pain than anything by the time we find a decent place, that is not already occupied, and go through the hassle of beaching the boat, etc.
Which is why I decided to get something I could use in the boat, and folks here recommended the Magma - I think it is going to work out pretty good, we love to anchor in a cove and just chill, so will attach it when we do and grill right there on the boat. It appears it is going to attach and disconnect really easily as well.

I finally decided to put it where I did, that particular bimini rod does not twist, and I can flip the bolster up on the seat, and sit on it while grilling - at least it appears I will be able to, will certainly know better after tomorrow...

Thanks,

Definitely report back on how that worked out. Sounds like a good plan.

I also like where your dealer put your lettering (under the rubrail). The previous owner of my boat had it above and pretty far back almost to the window. I have been working on removing the old letters and plan to either do white letters and put them where you did (black bow) or getting black and put them close to the front above the rubrail again.

Great boat, but totally kick-ass truck! Built Ford Tough!

Lol, my wife actually drives the truck, let me tell you she absolutely loves that truck!! Well of course except when pulling the boat, then I drive it LOL.

Thanks!

Great boat. Congrats.

Thanks!!

Edit: By the way, when I was in the boat messing around this afternoon in the driveway, I noticed my new boat now has .3 hours on the engine , this from de-winterizing this morning when they ran it for a bit...
Man for a guy that just about 10 years ago thought he would never have the opportunity to own a new boat, it sure feels good!
:)

We have been on the water all morning.
New boat is doing awesome. Loving life today!'

Lol thanks. Water still too cold to swim but about 80 here.

My spare tire is in the same spot, never had any trouble with it, the bunks won't let the front go over that far. I would travel with the bimini down unless it is a short trip. I found that the movement while driving wore spots down on the tubular frame where a joint rubbed against. I didn't have to replace it, but if I would have done it more than the first year I would have needed to. I think we covered it here before but watch the back small removable seat as it will fly out and it helps to put something weighted on the cooler seat as that tends to pop out of place

Enjoy, I am sure you will love it we do ours.
