My hole in the water 1986 270DA

Hello…..love the 270 DA owners. I have been working on mine for like 2 1/2 years. You can review my photo bucket if you like. Although, I need to organize and update it one of these days. Currently, I am working DC wiring reorganizing and updating battery cables and such. Next up is the helm new panels and wiring. Just finishing up speakers boxes with teak veener. If you have questions let me know. Have had to solve many problems and issues

You've done tons to that boat too. Great job.

Man, great deal with that drivetrain. That's probably what, 15k.

I found a website that has the motor and drive package complete for 23k plus installation. Sounds like a lot of cake though

You've done a ton of work on that boat. Looks great.

Thank you - a "hole in the water club" addiction that I'm proud to have.

Awesome set of pics, thanx. Now I'm late for work!!!! Love the bbq mount, how'd you do that?

Sorry, never mind. Just looked at WM and I believe I'll try the "single flush deck socket mount". Funny I didn't see that when we originally searched the site last year. Wound up buying the adjustable rod holder mount for our last boat but we don't want to drill those great big holes in this boat. Now I'm REALLY late for work. Maybe just phone in sick.

Click on the photo to see the massive foam cutting saw in action cutting my 4" cushion foam

Thats one hel ofa workshop you have there.

So you guys would use a machine to make that cut. I'd prefer to free-hand it to be a little more precise...

In all seriousness, that is pretty cool.

Wow, nice! How springy is that foam? I need two rear cushions for my rear berth. The ones that sit on the sides. Have you thought about selling precut foam?

Thanx for the update. It would appear that you are very talented. When you run out of things to do at YOUR boat you may come and stay with US for a while. Admiral = awesome cook + Captain = bar tender extraordinaire + lots of projects to keep you hungry and thirsty. Lookin' great!!!!

Foam is nice high density foam. 1 problem with precutting is that you need a pattern. another is shipping. It bulky. I guess you could vacuum bag it to shrink it down

What is that type of foam called, maybe I could find it locally?

High density urethane foam. any fabric or upholstery story will carry it. they should cut it for you too
