My daughter came home

Colossians 1 15-18 God is Surpreme: Many times we don't have or revcieve the answer, but we are created in his likeness and our purpose is in him. We will keep you in our prayers and ask God's favor, grace and mercy to be with your entire family. Keep us updated

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. Here is the update on Mallory. They pin pointed the exact type of leukemia and it is part of the study group at the hospital, She started chemo on Friday and will be on it for 7 days, 24hrs a day. On the 8th day she will recieve a pill which may or may not have an experimental drug in it(study group). On the 12th day she will have another bone marrow biopsy to see if the chemo is working and if she can produce healthy blood cells. I'm not sure the exact route after that but there is talk about a bone marrow transplant. She is still positive and full of something. I mentioned to her about the thoughts and prayers from everyone and says thanks to all. Here is her address

Scott, sure she must be strong!!! It's good to see her smiling even from an hospital bed!! :thumbsup:Good luck!!!

A little update on Mallory. She is still in the hospital and doing well. Her spirits are still strong and she wants to come home. She finished her chemo and have been taking the pills as part of the study group in the hospital. Thursday morning she goes in for another bone marrow biopsy. We should know the results by Friday. If it does not show any Luekemia than they will consider it in remission and once all her cell counts are up they will allow her to come home. That will take 7-10 days hopefully.
If it still shows some Luekemia than she will have to stay in the hospital and go through another round of chemo. We are trying not to get our hopes up too high as they said it is a hard Luekemia to get rid of, but we will keep all of our fingers crossed.
The support has been incredible for her and it deffinitely helps her to get through the days. I will keep everyone posted.

I wish Her the best. I have a 19 yr old daughter also.

Here is to a speed recovery and you and yours are in our prayer.

Thanks for the updates - and while CSR is a boating forum - we are all praying for everything to come out great. That picture of her at the hospital is great and shows how her positive attitude is getting her through this.

Hang in there Mallory. Lots of folks with prayers and positive attitudes are pulling for you, to include my family and I!

As a cancer survivor there will be times when you want to give up, just lean on us girl and we will help you go the extra distance! Most of all keep that beautiful smile!

I am sorry to hear about your daughter. My family and I will be praying for her. There is hope as I can tell you, my second oldest daughter was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She had one ovary removed and half of the second. She has since given us 2 grandsons and has been cancer free for these many years. :smt038:smt038

Update on Mallory. Thanks again for all the well wishes and prayers. The bone marrow biopsy came back on Friday and showed no signs of Leukemia. They waited for her white blood cell count to get up high enough and released her from the hospital today.:smt038:grin::smt038 She will continue to have tests done for a while but it is currently in remission. The power of prayer is incredible. Thanks again to everyone. She can't wait to get to the boat.

Glad to hear she is doing good! I will keep her and your family in prayers.

..... it is currently in remission....

Oh my god Scott, I am so happy for you and your daughter Mallory that I have tears coming down my cheeks. My wife thought something was wrong and I told her the great news.

We will say another prayer that it stays in remission.

Scott, Thats fantastic news to hear !!!. :smt038 . :smt038 .:smt038

That is great news, we will pray that it stays that way. I know that it is possible for it to stay in remission.
