Month Long Cruise through New England - Four Suns

For those that saw the show, did you notice on the Letterman show when they were panning the audience, they had that big rectangular advertisement in the middle of the screen.....That was their way of censoring Gary out of the shot....unless Wes found a way into their software....

When they asked if anyone ever piloted a submarine I thought Gary might have raised his hand. I guess a sinking ship and a sub are two different things.:smt043

Man that wicked witch is much hotter looking than the good witch.

We are off to Cape May (mouth of Deleware Bay) this morning... Need to take advantage of the weather window we have today. We have about a 5-6 hour run ahead of us.

Give a wave as you go by.....if anything 'comes up', you have a safe haven at my dock....pull in at either the Manasquan or Barnegat inlets.

You gonna stop at Trump's (Farley's Marina) and re-unplug that 44DA on your way....I'll give you 'fo dolla'....

Have a safe ride...

Seems like the trip is approaching the wrap up......It has been a great read as anticipated Gary.
Even have the Admiral laughing at your antics now!

Is it just me or is anybody else getting withdrawals pains. It's been 2 days and no new post. Something must have happened in NYC. (Grin)

Nah... I just needed to get out of New York before I talked about New York....

We are in Cape May... we have a few more stops to make on the way home... I'll post the final New York blog later tonight.

What a nice day on the water off the coast of Jersey.

I was planning on leaving in the morning... but if the weather is poopy, we may stay until Sunday. I was going to go to Annapolis tomorrow but every marina is sold out and I didn't bring the dinghy so I can't get a mooring (the dogs can't ride the jet ski). So.. if we leave tomorrow, we may go to still pond for the afternoon and try and get a slip at Fairlee creek... or go up the Sassafras and egg Frank H's boat... shoot... I don't know... why?

I've really enjoyed your blog. It has made me anxious for a bigger boat so I can do more long range cruising with the family. Now all I have to do is find a way to make the Admiral see the beauty of it all.
I'm off to your neck of the woods for our annual trip to Williamsburg (by car), we have the place (our timeshare) for a week starting tomorrow, but I'm going to be heading south along the scenic route tonight and stop over somewhere in Delaware or Maryland for the night.
I'll be looking forward to reading your blog with envy while I'm on vacation. As much as we love Williamsburg, it doesn't compare to the once in a lifetime journey you are on.
BTW: If you are looking for a great family style Italian meal in the Theater district, give Carmine's on West 44th a try.
OOPS! I just read your last few posts. Anyway, keep Carmine's in mind for your next visit.

The Admiral and I were talking about maybe a 'car' ride tomorrow. We have guests coming over the house Sunday and we're taking them out on the boat....and NO, I won't be asking them for any diesel $$$$$. We may end up in Cape May for an early dinner on the deck of the Lobster House. Canyon Club or South Jersey?

Call Petrini's in Annapolis, you can use my name if you want. The place is far from first class but is within a 3 minute walk of the drawbridge that separates Annapolis and the Republic of Eastport. Basically you can walk to a bunch of nice restaurants. You'll definitely want to take showers on the boat though! 410-263-4278

The owner's name is John. They will definitely have room for you.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll look at it in the morning when I can see what the weather is up to as well.

Dominic: I'll send you a "real" email....

We discussed Rock Hall and seeing if the "one man band" guy was still playing at the Haven... wanted to see if he learned any Spice Girls yet....
