Man are boat prices going up

Waiting on ceiling fans the train is stuck in Jacksonville ( no train operator) and was told now 20 weeks for a bbq, fridge etc for outside.

Driver’s
Driver's. A lot of drivers know they can't make enough money (even now with the high shipping costs) without using, ummm....creativity in how they manage their log books. With the growth and mandates surrounding electronic logs, creativity is stifled, and it is hard to run the number of miles per day they need to pay the bills. So the ones that are good go on to other professions. The crappy ones that can't find a job doing anything else stay in trucking, but they still suck.

I purchased a Presto tender lift from Sweden a couple of weeks ago. I had thought, due to the weight, they would ship by boat and planned 3 to 4 week delivery. To my surprise they shipped DHL airfreight (270 pounds) and it was at my doorstep in 3 days after I completed the purchase....

The price of shipping container space and the delays the industry is experiencing are causing many companies to use their freight now.

Wonder if those are XPD drives?? take 20K off if they are and have never been replaced.

On the Larson. No those are the normal drives. XDP are black with one trim piston in the back. And if there is still a boat out there with those plastic crap drives... It's more like $35K to replace. Drives, transom plates inside and out, plus labor.... Sorry for any one stuck with that crap.

I have seriously thought about considering a Larson as next boat, love the interior. So please educate me about these XPD drives so i dont make a mistake.

My father in laws 06 regal 3560 came with xdp’s. NOTHING but problems with them between oil leaks and ripped bellows. The volvo settlement was they would sell you drives and transoms at cost but you were still on the hook for the labor. It cost him 18,000 to get rid of those things and go to dps drives about 4-5 years ago. And you had to return the xdp’s to volvo, hardly a “deal”

The NADA price for my boat is now $9495.00. I paid $5500.00 in October 2019. Boat prices are insane!

Was just looking at some 370 sundancers. Noticed one that looked oddly familiar. Yep it was a 96 I called on last year that was sold. Last year, listed at $69,500. Now listed at $95,000 buy the guy who bot it.

That is what I was seeing as well, which is one reason I finally raised my budget and jumped in.

I bought my 1993 Grady White Seafarer back in 2010 as a clean, one owner, freshwater boat for $10,500. Now, I did plenty of updating and maintenance to it over the time I had it, but that occurred over the course of a decade. It was overdue for some new upholstery, canvas, and isinglass, so I threw it up for sale for kicks before winterizing it. Sold within HOURS for $14,500, and had me kicking myself for not asking for more. It still had the orriginal carb'd 2 stroke on it, and I had a quote for $2600 for all new canvas and drop curtains that I was ready to pay that off season. New owners love it, and I'm upgrading to a Sea Ray 250 Weekender here as soon as the weather clears for me to bring it home. Market is definitely wild.

Before we bought the 506 we looked at a 2003 Carver 570 locally. It was our dream boat but at 475gs it was out of our comfort zone. A marina neighbor bought it two years ago for the 475 asking price and it now on the market for $575,000. Boat has not left the slip in the two years. Crazy

We're finally starting to see sellers cut their asking prices here in South Florida now that COVID is no longer in the news and gas prices are skyrocketing.

I am probably selling my 360 ac with twin turbo diesels but I did a lot of updating to it.
In Florida but I might be moving. Its solid as a rock
