Lost family member yesterday

I call him my grandson, he is my son-in-laws son from a previous marriage, we are still not sure what happened but he died last night about 6:30 PM yesterday, 3 witnesses say hit and run, police can not make up their mind. His Busa had a flat tire when he came out to go to work in the AM so he was riding his fathers motorcycle, he had gone to work, went to girl friends house and was on the way home on I-95, the tracks indicate a sharp left turn from the left side of the center lane and then bike sliding to the center median, he slide straight down the center lane of the interstate. He was a really good person, everyone that has said anything about him has only had good things to say. I will refrain from stating what I think in regards to the hit and run, it is over and done, I just hope that someday if this is true the person that may have done this will get their just punishment. All you folks that ride bikes out there be careful as there are people that will hurt you and keep on running. R.I.P. Jonathan Holifield you were a great young man of only 22 years, you had a full life ahead of you but it is no more. God Bless and keep you forever.

I am so sorry. We come here and share lots of experiences, but they all pale in comparison to such a tragic and devastating event. Your family is in our prayers. I am so sorry to hear of your loss.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I have ridden motorcycles for years and have lost a couple of friends to accidents, (one is way to many)but I have no idea what it would be like to lose a grandchild, the hurt must go very deep. I also retired from Law Enforcement after 27 years, and I just want to say that the men and women who investigate these type of fatalities do an excellent job. I would rely on these Officers and keep in close touch with them until the investigation is concluded. I hope you and your family get some kind of closure, and my heart goes out to you. Rich
 
I know that we all have difference of opinion on this site but it only takes something like this to bring everyone together and feel the pain of a fellow CSR member.

God bless and keep you through this tragedy. May his short life have an ever lasting influence on your family.

Rich, I have had law enforcement in my family, I know these officers will work hard, one of the investigating officers at the scene also knows out family and the type of person he is if there is something to investigate I know he will follow it to the end, that is just who he is.
