Lost family member yesterday

I am truely sorry for what has happened to your family and especially this young man's immediate family. I have girls 24 and almost 22 and I don't know what I would do if I lost one. The reason I started to stay away from motorcycles way back in high school is I was losing friends or watching them recover from injury. Some due to their own behavior but most due to cars. I feel that no matter how good a rider you are, all it takes is some soccer Mom on a cell phone or doing makeup or someone not paying attention and you are at risk.

I do hope they find the coward that caused this tragedy and justice is served. If not karma will take care of things.
 
Sorry for your loss. Also gotta say props to you for treating him like your own. So many don't accept children from previous marriages into their family. I bet he loved having you as "grandpa". We need more people like you.

wish2fish, it was real easy to call him my grandson, he was a really good person. I do understand what you say about people accepting children from previous marriages and it should not be an issue for anyone, you should love them all.

For those of you that ride please do be careful out there and those of you who do not ride, look in the mirror then turn your head and look, make sure no one is side of you when you move over. Don't be in such a rush cutting in and out of traffic and crossing 3 lanes at a time, life is to short, everybody has a right to be on the road and everybody has a right to keep on living.

My deepest sympathies and condolences. A tragic loss like this is very hard to deal with and understand as well. Loosing someone this young just shouldn't happen.

I feel very badly for you and the entire family as well.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, we had the memorial service today and for a young man that said he did not have many friends the chapel at Strickland funeral home in Pooler was full today, proof that he was well thought of, it really made us feel good that so many people thought that much of him to take Saturday afternoon to go to a memorial service. Although we were sad at the loss of this life we know he was a good person and it was proven today. Jonathan I have no idea if you could see or not, I certainly hope you could see the tribute to your life here.
