Looking at the 03' 320 Dancer. What do you guys think?

Congrats!! If you don't mind so I have an idea of what the market is right now, what was the final price you were able to negotiate?

Not at all!

The asking price was $99,900 which I felt was a fair price for this boat. I was told the owner owed 137K on it. Talk about taking a hit!:smt021 With my trade in there the water gets a little murky but somewhere around the low to mid 90's is where I came out. The boat has fresh bottom paint and a brand new rear canvas. Old one was lost when someone was washing the boat and the wind blew it off the dock! Lucky me :)

They let me take the owners manual/Computer bag. That thing is huge!!!!! Had some pretty cool stuff to look at. Cool thing about a one owner I guess. He still had the original purchase agreement in there showing the 185k he paid for it new in 04'. The 2004 sales brochure and all of his notes he had written to himself trying to make the deal.

Can't wait till Wednesday when I can officially call her mine!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I have been wanting a 320 for a few years now and finally all the pieces fell together.:smt038

Curious what the original MSRP was on the boat? Thanks for sharing - I think today a lot of owners are trying to understand their boats value in todays market. Sounds like you did well being able to trade your boat.

I ran her yesterday with 6 people on board and 50% fuel. I sure can get the bow down at 4000 RPM's! The bad thing is I don't want to pay for the fuel at 4000 RPM's. :smt009

You will get your best mileage between 3500 and 4000. I like to cruise at 3900.

This might help. I found this online somewhere last year for a 2006.

Good info! When I had the boat out Yesterday I was trying to figure out what speed was the best. It seems like you should either be at 1500-1800 rpm or 3500-3800 rpm. Both of those seemed to be good for me. I like just cruising around the 1600 rpm range. Slow and easy!

I have to say the thing I like best about the 320 compared to my little 250 is how stable she is at idle speed. With the 8.6ft beam on the 250 and the stern drive i look like Ricky Bobby sawing on the wheel. With the twin V-drives you can point and shoot with it. Once you get out and give it a little throttle she will track straight as an arrow. Never have to touch the wheel. You can sit back and enjoy the ride and view!

If you find my "First Impressions..." thread that was precisely what I noticed the first time I drove mine. Also the silky shifting and smooth acceleration compared to my Mariah that had the same beam as your 250. I hope yours has the beige dashboard because mine has a white one and the glare in full sun if really bad. My solution was to put a couple of dark towels on the dash which look bad but work well!

I do know that Marine Max in St. Louis has redone helms here from white to the tan. I have no idea what it cost.

Trust me, I am sure a couple of $5 towels from Walmart are a whole lot cheaper!

Fortunately it has the tan helm. The only thing I noticed that it doesn't have is curtains in the cabin. I've gotta do something about that. Come time to go to sleep I can't have any light coming in.

No curtains!!! Got ya covered there too!

You can pay me in margarita mix for these brilliant solutions to an everyday problems.

I told the wife Duct Tape! You can still have light if you wish.

Has anyone made carpet for the steps leading into the cabin. I would like to do snaps like the canvas so you can remove it to clean it. I have a Doberman and a little Chihuahua that are going to have trouble with the steps anyway. I don't want them to slip while going up or down. Just curious how it looks?

I have - this is my steps -around $100.

I think I saw your boat when we were up there looking at 340's. I just did not like the effect salt water had on the boats I was looking at 98/99 models. I wish I could emember more about that 320.

Thanks! I actually found a local fresh water Ga. boat.

Well the Survey came back good. Good compression,No water or metal in the oil. Noted a faint vibration around 2400 rpm but goes away past that. Said you have to be really feeling for it to notice it. Read 30.1 knots on the GPS! Both engines are within +/- 30 rpm of each other at WOT.

Small issue like the plastic drain plug on Stbrd engine is leaking because it's missing the O-ring. No big deal. Most annoying issue is the freshwater system isn't functioning. Can't get good pressure to the sinks and the galley hot water handle feels funny. They are suppose to be repairing all that this morning. The shower sump kept coming on every few minutes which was strange since there was nothing in it and it has a float. Shouldn't be coming on. They are going to have service look into that as well.

We are going to close this afternoon. It's gonna be a long day. I'm up and already at the shop at 4am. Can't sleep I'm so excited!!!:smt038:smt038:smt038

Congrats and welcome to the club, we moved from a 250 to the 320 and love every minute were on it! good luck c6:smt038

Congrats, sounds like your shower sump just needs some cleaning. But congratulations.
