Lets see some Great Lakes boating pics 2015!!

No, wasn't me. We made a last minute decision and went to the lower side of Sharpe Island.

Here's a few sad Great Lakes pics that I took Tuesday:

Another season in the books.

Ugh.
Yea, just scheduled my haul out for October 24th.

"Alex, I'll take 'Things that Suck' for $1000 please...."

October 1st for us. One last weekend of good weather ahead of us it looks like though. 80+ here on saturday, although theyre calling for 20k winds at 6 footers

Enough with the haul out dates. Fall is the best time to be a boater on the Great Lakes!

Took a night cruise to get to the island last night.

Couldn't agree more... Beautiful day on the lake yesterday... still a couple good weeks left!

Jason, those two pics make me just want to fire up the engines and hit the throttles. Enjoy your next few weeks of boating!

Robert those are some very serious looking clouds. I bet you're glad you were standing on the dock instead of standing on the fly bridge out on the water somewhere.

Yep that's how it works at the Majority of the docks on Put in Bay. In the shot above I am the second boat out of three. In this particular dock you can raft as many as four deep. Here's a few more of the various arrangements at eh Bay

How does that work if someone wants/needs to leave before the rest of the group wants to leave?

Checkout is 11am. The dock masters will make every accommodation necessary if you need to leave early on non holiday or event weekends. If it is a holiday or event weekend you pretty much know you are in for the duration. But if in the morning you need to leave and you are anything but 4th out, the dock masters will untie three boats, float them out, pull them back or forward to the next rack, let you leave, and the float the three boats, still rafted, back into the original rack. I hope that makes sense. I'll try and get some pics next weekend.

I will say these guys are the best dock masters on the island if not the whole lake.

That does make sense and it sounds like they are very accommodating for their transient boaters. That's a great way to get boaters to come back frequently.
