Lets see some Great Lakes boating pics 2015!!

So this is my first season retired and what a pleasure it is to be able to take advantage of the nice days and not just accept what is available on the weekend. A few shots from the last couple days after a blustery weekend that I'm sure disappointed more than a few.

The view I have when I leave the marina.

Sunrise over the islands.

USCG Biscayne Bay

Passing the bridge.

Fishing Mackinac Island.

Lake Trout.

Round Island light.

If you're still a part of the 9 to 5 crowd, I feel your pain.

Quite windy today, but still a beautiful day here on lake Erie to fiddle about on the boat...

Craigalan, what are all those ugly, spindly looking things that clutter the view from the boats?

Ha! My wife is in a regatta tonight. I will have her ask around...

Well hopefully the weekend is going to be decent - With all of this dry dock time at least I am getting stuff done on the boat - Last night I did plugs, wires, cap & rotor - Purrs like a kitten.

Still really windy yesterday. But, a fantastic day to explore the Backwater Lagoons of Presque Isle in the Zodiac. Picture is of my best 1st mate.

Here are a two from a quick spin in the Whaler my daughter and I took across the bay to Grand Island this past Sunday.
The first is a favorite - we idled right under him for this shot, beautiful bird.

KC, there's something VERY familiar looking about your Whaler....

We sure love ours. This shot was taken at the mid-way stop on a 62 mile round trip in northern Idaho. Great little boats those Whalers.

For sure, we love it too.
It's great for those last minute local runs, occasional back door fishing trips or little water trailer/cruising trips.
Just need to get our last kid through college so we can buy a boat the size of "Beachcomber" to use it as a tender too.

Current Status: Just fine!!

Marina is finally filling up, late start for everyone this year!

Same here! Oh, you meant with boats...

Pics from last wkd. This is my 11th season at this marina - that was the highest I've ever seen, but it's been higher. I was considering moving my car to higher ground.
