Late 90's 270 Sundancer Thread

As far as head and wash down, to put it simply head doesn't evacuate when stepping on peddle w key on. I just filled water and both bath and galley faucets are working

Deeman whats involved w the swap just using the factory wires and replacing the light sockets?
That's the beauty of these bulbs, they are plug and play no retrofit or mods required!

In regards to the vacuflush not working I will defer to the other folks here. I would first do a search then if still unanswered create a new post in the general or plumbing forum (I think there is one for plumbing). To me it sounds like the pump used to create suction is not working. I am sure it's a easy fix.

Wow - I've not been on CSR for a while but just saw this thread has been viewed 21,000+ times!

Anyway... I think my steering cable is on its way to the recycling skip. The parts manual says the cable is 16.5 ft - but from my initial look it seems Teleflex only do 16ft or 17ft "The Rack" cables. Is that the right type? - Anyone happen to know what the exact correct steering cable is for a '98 twin v6?

Thanks in advance,

Nigel.

Although I have a 96' single engine 270. Mine also called for 16.5 . I replaced with 16 and it works just fine. The shop td me 16 would work better than a 17. It's hard to hide a foot of extra cable. I still have play though. After all the steering pin work and helm work, sea ray claims that play is made in for over steering drivers ?

Just getting back to this for some reason no email notification. No faucets (galley, head sink, fresh water wash) are working

Does anyone who has AC know what LO AC means? I keep getting that error on the screen and AC shuts off. I tried looking in the manual but it does not show that or I cant find it. My guess is low freon but I dont even know for sure if this AC has freon.

According to my owners manual the LO error code is caused by low refrigerant or restricted airflow. This is from a Cruisair manual with SMX 2 control panel. Hope this helps.

Thx for the help everyone all issues resolved, screen clogged for fresh water, head clog fixed, figured out windshield washer wiper motor had no screws holding the motor so it was just moving. bought the suggested LED nav lights and they work great. Still gotta find out about the ac need to find the air filter

The air filter is in the lower foot well area on the aft face of the port side dinette. It can be accessed by removing the set cushion on that side of the dinette. With regard to the LO AC indication on the SMX, can you verify that your water pump is discharging out the port side thru hull before the AC shuts down?

Does anyone know the functionality of the helm windlass rocker switch? Is it just an on/off switch for the solenoid or does it also alternate windlass control between the bow footpedals and helm control? Reason i ask is my helm control is working fine but neither footpedal is?
Any help/insight would be helpfull..thx

Check and see if you have a fuse in your anchor locker your foot switches are wired directly to the reversing solinoide

Hey Guys I'm looking for some info here. Went to the dock today after work to check on the boat. Found both batteries so low they would not start the engine. I had battery 1 last month not maintaining charge well so I know its probable week. I have Dynathrust 27DC5 batteries that are 4 1/2 years old. I have only had this boat for a year. What is the normal life of a battery? What battery do you use or recommend? And do you leave your batteries on charge all the time when on shore power at the dock?
