So who's on their boats stuck in Lake Michigan wind and waves ??? I'm still in Ludington and probably won't move tonight , how about you brew crew?

Hey Bolt.... Left Elk Rapids today at 11:30 after a storm front went through. Made the 1:00 bridge in Charlevoix as planned. Lake Michigan was pretty flat up this way. South wind produced some slight wave action pushing north, but nothing that prevented some tasty chicken nachos to make their way from the galley to the bridge for a nice mid-cruise lunch. Sorry to hear that it's that bad down Ludington way.... Good luck and get the Ambiance up here to God's country!

4-6 footers crashing over the south wall in ludington, we're waiting for it to lay down a tad , but tomorrow's weather looks the same , it's really sunny and warm here though just 20-25 mph winds

Same thing here Boltman. We are stuck in Ludington as well. Not interested in running in 4-6 footers. Been here for 2.5 days now and the wife is getting antsy. Sent you a pm.

We are still in Grand Haven waiting for a break for the run to Frankfort.

We delayed our trip due to a work function tomorrow. Running to Ludington Tuesday morning. How is the lake supposed to be by then?

Forecast up here in Ludington is 2-4's out of the south for the next 2 days. Going to check it out in the morning to see if it is do-able. Lots of people sitting tight waiting for improved conditions.

Hope the Badger dust isn't killing you and wrecking your boat!!

Looks like lightening could be an issue Monday, at least in the Grand Haven area going north.

I'm hopping for calm seas Tuesday, we are heading to South Haven and Saugatuck.
We just returned from a fun weekend up in Charleviox at a friends house on the lake. Took his 250 bow rider out on Lake Charleviox in some 1-2ft chop and lunch at the Landing, fun!

Mike are the biting black flies still bad. The past couple of weekends I couldn't shake them.

Not a problem at the dock but on the water, wow. Must have killed 30 or so in a couple of hours. Pesky suckers...

Still minor compared to fog, big waves, and big winds...

Well we're awake now here in Ludington to big waves wind and well just sitting , I'm wondering if we should travel in the 4 footers or not , winds are at 30mph south winds not good.

Are they supposed to build today? Front coming through overnight and then winds dying down in early am. Doesn't sound good to head out tomorrow either...damn.

Just another reason I'm enjoying the Straits this year. Even when it blows, the lake usually isn't much more than a couple feet...but then the midge fly thing was a bit of an irritation. THIS AFTERNOON...SOUTHWEST WIND 10 TO 15 KNOTS WITH GUSTS TO
AROUND 20 KNOTS. AREAS OF FOG. MOSTLY SUNNY. WAVES 2 FEET OR
LESS.

"Small craft Advisory in effect until Tuesday Evening Grand Have to Pentwater, Tuesday SW winds 15 to 25 knots, waves 3 to 5 feet subsiding to 2-3 ft. late in the day."
Gale warnings for tonight.4-6 footers. Wind gusts to 35 knots. Stay Put WD.
