Keowee 2009 Labor Day?

Trying to find out now if we can get through the park trees at Jocassee to the ramp! :smt100 Requested to the poster of the tour group for this weekend and on the post. Are state parks obligated to follow the same DOT clearance guidelines as everywhere else?

I've got a chainsaw on a stick you can borrow.

Kes, that BIG arch will break any low limbs  DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT

IF, and I repeat IF, I remember correctly, there are only trees where you go through the intrance area to put "YO" money in the mail box, you could go through the exit and let "Sea Ray Jay" walk around the building and put the money in the box:huh: Hopefully some of the local folk will comment on this.

Good idea. Hopefully I will get an answer after the other group goes this weekend coming up.

Sweet Dreams -

I'll take some pictures (and pay attention) on our way up from Keowee to Jocassee Saturday morning.

I'd say follow state routes. Then follow any signs heading toward a campground. Belive me, a high profile 5th wheel will have cleared a nice path for you.

Ha, ha, ha...I actually look on the ground at points of low hanging trees and such, to see if there are/is any debris on the ground, or fresh scratches telling me a "trailer" contacted it. That's funny.

Yeh I also look @ the ground where bumpers, oil pans and/or lower units have surcome to the pavement gods. :smt009

I always look streight ahead, keep both doors shut and keep both feet flat on the floor:grin:

I am a Lake Keowee boater - own 1997 370 SD - can help provide local info if anyone needs it. And our boat is for sale. Could make a great deal for you so that you can enjoy it for Labor Day!

Time is growing closer, I think we need a roll call, need to make sure we have enough cake to go around, I'll probably eat 2 pcs, if its chocolate, or carrot or spice or pound, shoot I like cake.
Also need to know how many will be launching on sat at keowee, Mike will have to get passes in order to use company landing. So I'll start it off.:smt024
Jocassey noon on friday, then move to Keowee on Sat. evening.

Alright NICKY!!!Thats the way to take the lead! We are in for noonish Fri on Jocassee and will need a pass for Keowee. What if we want to stay on Jocassee Sat and dip in Keowee Sun? Are the passes per day or ok for weekend?

? Are the passes per day or ok for weekend?[/quote]

My understanding is they are good all week end. Maby Mike will chime in, about the passes.

Jocassee - Saturday
Keowee - Sunday

We've found a condo with a dock for the weekend on Keowee. Where are you all going to be on Jocassee Saturday AM?

It's supposed to be mid east side of Keowee by Warpath Access area.

Chuck, we can meet you at Jocassey sat morn, no problem, I think Sadler and family will be joining the group for the waterfall hunt on Sat.
As for the cake, there is always cake and toooooo many goodies, these Ladies always knock themselves out bakeing. Its hard for Sea Ray Jay and myself to maintain our manly PHYSIQUE with all the sweet's around:smt001
