Keowee 2009 Labor Day?

I'm beginning to think "life" is trying to sabbotage my attendance on this trip.

First, work has changed my schedule, I'm supposed to work that weekend now.
Second, my house has finally sold and guess what the closing date is. Sept. 4th.
Third, my dad has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and his follow up dr appt. to decide what to do as far as treatment is...Sept 4th.

I'm scared to discover what's next. I'm still on the fence at this point as to what I should do verses what I will do.

Sorry to hear about your dad, hope everything works out.

Now as the the other stuff just sounds like excuses to me. (Grin) Plus since your house sold and is closing before the trip, sounds like you are going to be buying the steaks for the cook out.

lol. If I can get everything situated so I can attend the trip, I will buy the steaks. Now do we like rib eyes or t-bonz! How's that!

Mike hope everything works out where you can be a part of the Keowee weekend, you will be missed if you don't make it. Hope all goes well with you'r Dad.
As far as the sreaks go, IGA has boneless rib loins for 3.99/lb.:thumbsup:
 
I hope all works out well for your Dad Mike, and that you can still make it. Any chance you could wait and come down Saturday, letting you stay home on Friday?
 
Thanks to everyone for the kind words. Dad is a tough guy, he'll be ok. He told me not to miss the trip because of him.
I'm still planning to make it. I talked to the real estate guy and the attorney, and they feel I can sign the documents before hand so I wouldn't have to be there. I'm waiting to find out for sure.
As for work, cough, cough...naw my boss is cool with me starting late, UNLESS something pops up at the last minute. Hmmm, sounds like I'm in familiar territory, not sure what I'm going to do! I know what I want to do though!

I think we will have a happening, Our leaders will chime in at the last minute and get us all in line.:smt038
All I know for sure is I can't wait, The weather is getting a little cooler at night, so all will be GREAT.:thumbsup:

No but sometimes I feel like it is!

I just got out of an "outage meeting", and it doesn't look good for me. Can you say early start.
Man, this job gets in the way of...maybe I shouldn't be complaining about my job. At least I have one I guess.
I'm still on the fence, it has just taken an awful lean in the wrong direction.
As Chuck will say, excuses, excuses. I know. :(

YES! I noticed last night the humidity seems to have broken finally! Should be nice. :smt001
