Wow, small world.......we moved to Fallston in 1965 when I was 5 before Fallston was Fallston, there is another member (Stromiester) of CSR that lives in Fallston. Anyway maybe if this raft off happens all of us can hook up.

Sounds like a grand plan to us. We are already looking at a few dates for day trips to Rock Hall, Fairlee, and "The Narrows" as well as extended weekend trips down south to Herrington Harbour to name a few. 60 days, huh? Once we get through this "deep freeze" we can start the spring ritual. I'm getting the itch!!!

I have kept boats at Gunpowder for years and currently store our 370 there and bought our 210BR from Don Rogers...............Don is a class act!!!!!!!
Hi neighbor. Have bought 2 boats from Gunpowder Cove. The latest a 240DA and we are going to keep it at Gunpowder this season to try it out. I'm just a little afraid of having to use so much fuel to go anywhere. My last boat I kept in the Seneca which was very convenient.

You are right John, Don is a class act. My family got our first boat from Don in '75. A few months after my dad bought his boat something broke. It's a Saturday morning, Don grabs his tools, fixes it and gets us out on the water. He did it all for a thank you. Good things follow good people, I was 2 when that happened and my dad still remembers.

Well, I must say I am really excited about the HarCo CSR raftup (and whoever else wants to come!). Excited to meet everyone but even more excited for the "60 days" to pass so I can get back to doing what I love.

Gredmer - I found my wife on the Seneca, very convenient indeed

We, too, are looking forward to getting together this summer! The shrink wrap comes off on March 27 (37 days, but who's counting?) and then the Porter-Cable gets a workout.

We bought Chessie as a brokerage boat from Gunpowder Cove. Our salesman was Glenn Crenshaw and he was terrific, but I was especially impressed by Don. When we had the survey done Glenn couldn't be there, so Don helped us. The boat had been slipped, and when they hauled her out for the hull survey the bottom had a fair bit of slime on it. Don moved her to their powerwash area and powerwashed the bottom for us -- himself -- because the shop crew was at lunch. Later, when the surveryor found a problem with the gimbal bearing, Don worked closely with the mechanic to evaluate the severity of the problem. After-purchase care has been good, too...Glenn has followed up several times to make sure we are enjoying the boat.

Definitely good people to deal with and they went out of their way to make our purchase very enjoyable.

Very happy to report that I saw the start of the dredging work to Kent Narrows on the Chester River approach this past Friday. This is a welcome sight to be sure. :smt038 During a trip through there about 2 weeks ago the depth under the hull was only 1.5 to 2 feet near the auxiliary markers – powering through that will really put a “shine†onto your props.

I'd be less worried about shining the props than I would about the mud destroying my impellers. They'd undoubtedly survive the trouble but would last long enough to crap out during the next trip; with family/friends along, just ahead of a storm...

Still, it's great to hear they're actually dealing with this so quickly.
