Kent Island Area

They'll probably be checking in here eventually. You might also try the local dealer Clarks Landing to see if they have contact info for the group. I live on Kent Island too  Welcome to the site!

Anyone know how to get in touch with Searay owners group(s) in and near the Kent Island area that organizes day and overnight trips?

I'm from Kennersley's Point Marina on the Chester River. We're a very small marina 50 slips. Of those slips, we have 10 sea rays. Stay in touch and maybe we plan something for next season. Also the weekend of Nov 3rd they have the Down Rigging Festival in Chestertown Harbour. It includes 10 tall ships. It's rally something to see. We're located just south of Chestertown, at the Red 2 at Southeast Creek. stay in touch. It would be great to get a Sea Ray raft up on the Corsica or Langford Creek area.

Hi Paul, a next season excursion and raft up sounds great. We are at Castle Harbor Marina 1.5 NM SW of R"6" marker. I have been past your place on occasion as we would sometimes gas up at Rolphs Wharf. Thanks for the tip about the festival on Nov 3rd, sounds like a great fall day trip.

For the future, Never get your gas at Rolphs, even Chestertown is cheaper then he is. We actually find it saves us money, to come down to Piney Narrow for gas. Even though it about an hour trip for us. If you come up for the Down rigging let me know. :smt024

You might want to check the MarineMax website. I don't know if they have any location around Kent Narrows, but I know they organize a bunch of trips like you're talking about.

Good luck.

I've been to the Corsica...........beautiful.........I would be interested in a raft off next season. I run with three or four Sea Rays from my club and could easily recruit five or more SRs from my club to join us.......some thing to think about over the winter................ImpulseIII is a Chesapeake guy now

John

As, I guess, the newest "Chesapeake Guy"..please keep me in mind for any cruising plans for next season. We are looking forward to meeting the Chesapeake crew.

I'm new to the bay, too. Clarks Landing supposedly has a bunch of trips that they plan, but I'm not sure if they're open to anyone. I guess we'll see.

I'm going to be in Herrington Harbour North, in Deale, so I'll be up for anything within a couple of hours boat ride.

We just got this boat, but unfortunately the season is quickly winding down. I'll be lucky to get out next weekend and then we'll pull her for the winter. Can't wait for next season.

Count us in for any raft-ups next year. We are just a 30 minute cruise to the Narrows. Fisherman's Inn is one of our favorite stops for steamed crabs...

I take that to mean you'll be based at HHN. Kind of a spoiler when you've got HHS right next door - really nice resort. You might want to check out Spring Cove Marina in Solomon's Island. Make reservations. If you go, I would recommend getting a rental car and driving into Old St. Mary's City. A very interesting place.

Until Spring.

We agree with DS410 in that Herrington Harbour South is a dynamite destination for a weekend get-a-way.

I've been to Spring Cove. My wife still talks about how clean the bathrooms were  It's a great marina to visit.

We went to both Herrington Harbours and got a better "vibe" from North. Our philosophy is that we love a good party, but when we're done and are ready to go home... we're done! The impression I get from South is that we can't ever leave the party. Beautiful place, nonetheless and I agree, a great place for a weekend getaway or rendezvous.

Hey, don't forget about me?!!!! :smt001

jrirvine,

I just noticed you've got a blue 300. I just traded mine and found some blower vent covers I had made earlier this year. I posted them in the classifieds section for no price (free!) I'm not sure if you use an engine room heater, but if you do and you cover the vents, this is a very clean, aesthetic way of doing it. I'd just as soon give them to a local Sea Ray'er.

Larry,
If you still have these thingies next season, we can hook up and I’ll see if they will work. At the rate we are going here, we should have plenty of cool dudes and gals for our very own “Auqapaloozaâ€. :smt038

Is it Spring yet?
-Jim

Jim, I might still have them next year. No one's responded from the classifieds post, yet.

My wife and I went to Annapolis last weekend and found a nice slip in Annapolis Landing Marina. We're moving there this Saturday and we're going to be there through the end of next year, maybe longer :smt001 That will put us a short ride to just about anything in the upper half of the bay. Also, we're not pulling the boat out so if a nice day rolls around we can go for a ride. Can't wait for next year, though.

We are definitely interested in some summer fun! All of this talk sure does make me yearn for boating season!!! Kepp us in the loop.
