This place is nice and looks alot like SRO where some of us came from. I am hardly one to complain as things look fine to me. However, if there is any way to get a boarder or line to sperate the posts on a thread, it would be a little easier to read. Again, I appreciate what you are doing so please do not think I am complaining.

My idea, also is taking from the late, great SRO. How about seperating the topics under maintenance, engines,drives,transmissions,props.

Engines should be in one category, as should drives be seperate from screws, etc.

Wouldn't the "General Discussion" forum accomplish this? There are forums to talk specifically about just about anything regarding your boat, so the general forum can be just for general stuff.

I respectfully disagree. There was more than one occasion on the SRO board where conservative political rants ran out of control. I'd prefer that we focus our dialog on boating.

Yeah, I agree with that politics will just breed a bad convo, totally agree.

I used to belong to a sports car forum where they did a "car of the month" every month. Some ideas could be: biggest boat of the month, oldest boat, modded boat/engine, etc.. The winning boat could be put on the main page of the forum for a month. Winner would receive a wax kit or something. Even if prizes are not awarded, bragging rights are always good.
Admin would anounce the kind of "boat of the month" for the upcoming month, members would submit their pics. and forum members would vote.

Good idea. Doubt the prize thing would work, but just a chance to show off your boat is reason enough.

If it's ok with 'admin', I'd be glad to be the "guy" who attains prizes from vendors. I'd be happy to do it free of charge, think I could get very good prizes, etc.
