Hello captains. Looks like this is going to be a large group. Have room for Double Trouble? If weather looks good we may make the raft.

Looks like this is going to be the biggest airshow raft up yet! Guns have to save lots of room! Harold can we start a list of Friday night arrivals and Saturday arrivals? Try to get some kind of order going so we can figure out how to save the room?

Jonathan,
I organized the list based on arrival date. You and Ron have a big job ahead of you trying to hold a lot of space!!!

At this point I will likely get there on Saturday morning, because the Admiral has to work a full day Friday, unless I can talk her into a Friday night departure......
 
I have no problem doing what I did last year and setting floats and jackets out to hold spots. My issue is that although I'm showing up Fri night I need to pick up my daughter Saturday morning at 11. I'm trying to figure out a way to leave my boat at zacks but there's a chance I may have to take my boat. So that spot will be lost and I won't b back till about 1230. Still figuring things out so we shall c.

I am hoping to be there early morning on Saturday before 11, if I do not get there Friday night. I can drop in next to you and hold your spot when you need to leave.

OK thank you hopefully I can figure out a way to pick her up so I don't have to move my boat but we shall c.

Yes, Lets see if we can figure out what time everyone will be arriving. It might also be nice to figure out who is leaving when, to help with positioning in the raft.

I would like to leave the Statue early Saturday morning, to get to Zach's by at least 9:30 or so.

IF I make it NYC anchorage on Fri night, then we should be at Zach's around 10:30-11. Otherwise, if I start my trip on Sat, then my ETA would be later.
 
So, looks like our plans are to get to Zach’s Friday night, hopefully before sunset. We will help Jonathan and Ron secure a spot for the raft-up. We are planning to stay through Sunday, with a possibility of staying to Monday. We have some friends that are planning to join us on Sunday. We may need to break away from the raft-up to go pick them up, unless someone has a dinghy or “small” boat I can use to bring the 2 adults and 4 children out to the raft-up?????
I also am placing a couple of calls about the possible dinner plans for Sunday night. I know one of the co-owners of Tropix on the Mile in Freeport. When I reach him, I am going to ask if he can make arranges for our group and reserve 2 or 3 spots for our boats along his dock. I will give more details and put it up for a vote as to whether or not we like this plan when I reach him, unless anyone has an opinion one way or another now. we have a few boats from our marina which will be "day trippers" Maybe they could bring your gang out to the raft?
Flip side is could have them go to Jones Beach and park in lot and shuttle them by dingy?

Harold Friday night we will most likely have to stay anchored out separate so we take up more room. As of right now I have two small anchors two floats and countless orange jackets to hold the space in between our boats. Guessing were going to need about 300 feet of real estate to join the 20+ boats we have coming so we need to figure out how were going to keep floats in place. For the NYC statue of liberty crew . I think 1030-11 would be pushing it. The bay fills up very quickly and people get very touchy when it comes to floats holding spots lol ask me how I know! So the earlier the better if at all possible :smt043 by the way if you see my boat and I'm not answering the vhf it's because I'm not there. I have to pick up pipsqeek. In the case I'm not there please try to use my boat as the starting point for the raft if at any time u need to move my boat keys will be in it and ignitions will be on so feel free.
