What's with the mass invasion of the Bayliner's? And why are they posting so much about nothing? I thought this was a Sea Ray Site.

There is Bayliner owner site forum, at: http://baylinerownersclub.org/forum/index.php. Maybe we need to advertise this site, or see what happens if we sign up of it.
Or, maybe there are Bayliner owners that are considering moving up to a better Brunswick boat?? I don't have a problem with them contributing...

Yes, there is a Bayliner owners site. I never said I had a problem with them being here, but they aren't here to find out about sea rays, or even ask questions or talk about them. they are just posting about stuff.

it's like me going over to their site and posting about stereo systems for my home.

Chit, I just went over there. Todd has over 2,000 posts on that website.
We need to give him a swirly.

I was going to post this same question in response to the latest newb bayliner, but I didn't in an effort to perserve our current harmonious state.:smt001

I lurk on the Crownline site because I almost bought one and I have some friends over there, so I understand to a certain extent. But I never post on that site, so I don't get that.

Maybe now that Bayliners come out of the Sea Ray factory they figure the brands are one and the same???

The site is digressing for sure and it does not matter what type of boat you own (well maybe a little). For those of you that have read some of the things I have posted in the recent weeks that may sound odd coming from me, but my opinion has changed.

Over the last several weeks we have seen the knowledgeable crew start fading away, and you know who can blame them. Many new members coming online with nothing to add, many are just one question and out. Then there are the ones who just can let things go. The ones that have no sense of humor at all and are willing to complain to management, in secret of course, about something someone else said. So why on earth would the knowledgable members be willing to devote one second of their time to others that care nothing about the site in general and the ones who spend their time bitch’n about others.

Here is my view of things for new people coming online. This site is a great place to be. You can, and if you are willing to pay attention gain valuable knowledge here. You may also receive some friendly ridicule as well. Keep in mind when you post on a website they are thousands of people that are going to read it. There will be some like you and agree, some will disagree, and there will be others who may find it offensive. That is the nature of the sport here, so if you are not willing to accept it for what it is don’t bother jumping in. BUT… always keep in mind there in no harm or no foul in that, and absolutely no need to be hostile with nasty comments.

Ok take your shots at me if you like.

somebody else wrote somewhere the it may be good to have them on this site as they may be able to contribute due to the vast amount of work they need to do on their boat:smt043:lol:

I bet it's Wayne's World complaining about calling him out on the "You can run your boat at WOT all day" posts.

SHHHHHHHHHHH! They're lurking...:wow:

This is funny, "let's go look at CSR and see if it's as bad there as it is here on BOC".

Now they know that we know that they know that we know that they know.

But....do they know that we know that they know that we know that they know that we know that they know.

Does anyone know?

That was a fun one! Lesson to be learned from that post was READ YOUR MANUAL!

They don't even want them in their forum. That's pretty sad. So we get the reject bayliners in the Sea Ray site. great.

You guys know I belong to both sites. There are the same issues there as there are here. For the record there are guys I like there and guys I like here. On the flip side there are some there and some here I can do without, that's life.

I just try to post about boating either to help others or learn from others. To me it's not too much about brand, although I have my preference, but I like to meet people that have a passion for boating.

Filtering out the misinformation to either protect yourself or others is a challenge and Troll hunting seems to be a more prevelant pastime as the sites grow.

Todd, why did you post it on both sites? all you had to do was post it here.

Question: Where does a rejected Bayliner forum member go?
Answer: The Sportyak forum
