It's not a bashing thing or a my boat is better than your boat thing or an insecure thing. It's a sea ray thing. Nothing more, nothing less. Now if owners of other brands want to be apart of the forum, for whatever reason, i'm ok with that. BUT... 1st and foremost, this is a sea ray forum, not a general boating forum. At least that's why I'm here. I want to come to a place where everyone, or most everyone owns a boat made by the same company and where others have the exact same boat as me.

So if you want to make it into hey, you aren't very welcoming etc... that's easy to fix, buy a sea ray, or at least talk about them. I don't understand how that's difficult or wrong. And others with Sea Rays that don't understand this, try and find a Sea Ray specific thread that isn't smashed apart by outsiders or members that don't have any specific knowledge of the issue. It's so hard to find by the way, that we have been asked to actually go and look for them because it's too difficult.

There have been lots of answers I have been able to give because of my knowledge from other boats. Funny that an impeller on a Alpha is the same regardless of what boat it is on. But you can continue to bash away just puts you down to the NJ level. :smt021

Whoa there hillbilly, I am not insecure at all, see Turtle's post. This is a Sea Ray site and should be specific more or less about our boats. I visit some of the other sites and rarely stay for long, as little info is posted that may pertain to my boat. That being said, you can learn something from anything, so when I see bad info I learn from it and vice versa.

Good synopsis. I don't think anyone has anything against Bayliner owners. But, it seems to me that I wanted to talk about Bayliners, I would go to the Bayliner forum. If I wanted to talk about airboats, I would go to the airboat forum. If I wanted to talk about Playboy centerfolds, then I would go to the TIKI BAR!

I agree with TurtleTone. I do post on BOC on things that are non brand specific. I post here on everything including SeaRay specific issues.

I don't have an issue with non SeaRay boaters posting here, but there is a BOC v. CSR tone building. The point is there is so much disagreement and inner turmoil going on BOC that some have migrated here. I answered DMCB's(Doug) question wondering if he'd fit it. I've seen his posts on BOC and felt he's pretty knowledgeable and experienced and he was tired of the in-fighting so I told him he would.

Well Wayne brought it all out with some major fanfare introducing Doug and there was some resistance. If that didn't happen I think it would have gone unnoticed, but since BOC got the word and now CSR can see their participation .......it's ON!
