Does anyone have a recommendation for a place to get an inflatable boat repaired in the Sacramento or delta area? I just bought a used one and it has a small leak in the seam where the transom meets the floor. It's a 2006 west marine by zodiac. And I already asked west marine and they didn't have any suggestions.

Thanks,
Dan

Can't help you with places but if it's a wood core transom you may have bigger issues that would not be worth the cost to repair.

Alameda is a decent jaunt from Sacramento, and I do not know if this is inside their regular box, but if I was looking for a professional repair on an inflatable boat, my first call would be to Sal. http://salsinflatables.com/ in Alameda. He does services on Life Rafts and Epirbs. He is super knowledgeable, and I have always been treated well by Sal and his crew. Beyond that, for a 'small leak' I would look at the repair kits at West Marine.

Sal is the only one I know but you may even talk to a local shop like Riverboat and ask Kelvin if he can do it. Otherwise, check out this site and see if you can find a repair kit and try to mend it yourself. See you soon Dan. http://shop.inflatableboatparts.com/

Dan, talk to Willie at Oxbow. Leith told me he had one repaired somewhere in Sacramento. Where have you been?

Thanks for the suggestions! I will look into those places. I'm still trying to decide if I want to keep it or not. Lifting that 9.9 4 stroke screwed up my back and not sure I want to go through the trouble. But we'll see.

I tried 5200 all over the seams near the transom and still can't figure out how the water is getting in. I may keep trying though. Maybe it will just eventually be a giant ball of 5200! :)

Hi Shawn,

I moved over to Willow Berm in December. My wife liked it better over there. There were other reasons too, but I won't go into them on here. How are you? Let me know if you ever stay at the guest dock at Willow Berm. I've dropped by Oxbow a couple of times since we left, but our paths haven't crossed.
