In the garage

My ride:
It's my Obama econo-box - it gets close to 28 MPG.
It's close to fiberglass - SMC.

Yep, the Garage Journal is THE forum for garages. Got a few good ideas from them, particularly in choosing a lift.

I noticed you did VCT for your floor, how is that holding up? I was going to do VCT but did Racedeck instead, paint or epoxy seemed to be a nightmare if not done properly.

View attachment 23113View attachment 23114I need the front bumper rechromed, the rear is like new still. The body side and window moldings are all stainless steel and in excelent condition just need polishing.I am getting the side glass new as it has yellowed so i thing green tinted glass will look sweet on it.I didnt get pics on the flatbed,we own three and i see them everyday they are ford 650 diesels with aluminum beds ,one has the four door cab and one has the recovery boom.We also have a larger one and a hook truck chevy big block .they are all bright yellow with custom graphics and chrome rims.our other shop is a diesel and auto repair shop.I did just get it home though.

Looks great! That's a different color combo, but I think it's going to look very good.

Very nice! Easy to appreciate all the hard work that goes into a restoration like this. Friend of mine currently restoring a '53 Chev., same colours as new.

Very nice! Are you on ls1tech.com?

Doug

I was, I never posted much over there, just read....ALOT! Haha, great resource. after this last project and filling my brain with so much LS1 info I'd love to convert my Pachanga over to an LS based motor. if only there was more support for marine I'd swap over in a heartbeat!

Definitely a great resource. Can you post up more pics of your build or provide a link to picture account? I would love to check out more pictures.

Doug

The colors are original,i had to do a profit formula for them though because the paint never had a formula for basecoat clearcooat before .The medium green poly does have a touch of pearl in it now but the ice green is a perfect match to the original .Thanks for the replies Glen
