In the garage

This is my garage. I must admit I have got a weakness for British sports cars, Lotus in particular. (I omitted my Acura TSX Sport Wagon deliberately)

@ Jason, That's AWESOME, great work/sweet shop!! Just don't park that nissan too close to those bowtie's, they might get pissed!! LOL

'72 skylark?
Very close, it's a '71.
Had one when I was 19. Turned 40 more than a few years ago, had to have another. I keep it bone stock with the original engine, trans, rearend etc.. 600-700 miles every Summer. Finally let my two eldest boys take it for a drive this year. They have grown up on Jane's Accord with power everything.
This car has power steering, power disc brakes & a power trunk. No computers, no ABS, no air bags, no traction control, no cup-holders etc.
Breaks the tires loose very easily & the boys found out just how much more attention you have to pay while driving these old relics.
Yes, vinyl buckets seats that stick to you on a muggy day & a vinyl roof to boot.
When was the last time you were able to play an 8track in your car?

My garage now is just that, a garage. Storage for boat stuff and tools and our daily drivers.

This is the last one to roll out. Someday there maybe another. I'll get the urge to build something again.View attachment 22824

Any of you guys looking to build a garage or just spruce up you existing garage, you need to check out this forum. Wish I would have found it before I built my shop in the back yard, I did however pick up a lot of great tips that really made it nice, Jacob would fit right in, maybe he already kmows about it...........oh, and if you go there, check out the "Hot Women" thread, CSR needs a thread like that.

Pietro....wow. I had a 1969 austin sprite which I believe by then had been bought out by MG. Lot of stories go with that little car !

The Sprite you owned was a disguised MG midget. The real Sprite was the "frog eye", built until til '61

I'm still amazed to this day at what you will find in peoples garages. I have a business making car showboards for car shows. You can visit my gallery at www.donsshowboards.com to get an idea of what I do and what people have tucked away. I just did a board for a fellow in Michigan for his restored 1939 farm tractor (that was a first) and I'm sure he looks at it sitting in his garage just like it was a 1926 Bugatti. I really doesn't matter much what it is, restore it and keep it shining. Most of the cars being sold today look the same, like rolling eggs. I get a kick out of the expression on young people faces at at car show when they see their first 1959 Cadillac.

Yep, the Garage Journal is THE forum for garages. Got a few good ideas from them, particularly in choosing a lift.
