How I use Leverage Polish & Oxidation Remover

Is there any place to buy Leverage products from that would ship to Europe as well, since BOE Marine seems not to accept international orders. I would love to give this product a try.

have one relatively small area in front of windshield that has a slightly hazy look to it, just doesn't look mirror finish like rest of boat...will the OR applied by hand give me that mirror finish(after applying polish of course) or must this be done by machine to achieve optimum results? thanks for the info... Tom

Hey Tom,

It's winter, so sorry for the late reply. I would only use my OR with the buffer for the results you're looking for. By hand just won't give that same shiny, clear reflection.

Anyone have any advice for using the Oxidation Remover? I'm trying to apply it above the rubrail as we speak and it's a nightmare. I wetsanded that area yesterday and it's totally dry, clean, and in the shade. When I buff the OR off, it's like it adheres to the surface and discolors the gelcoat. The only way to get it off is to wetsand the area again, which defeats the purpose. It happened occasionally below the rail too and that was not sanded. I'm only running the buffer at 1400-1600 RPM.

I'm trying to splash Friday and this sure isn't helping. Not happy at all with this.

Put some water in a spray bottle and spritz the area you're buffing. The pores are open after wetsanding, so the OR is soaking in. Also, run at 2400-2600 with the buffer.

Sounds good. I'll give it a try. I'm assuming you mean to spritz it prior to buffing and it's ok if the area is a little damp when I buff?

Thanks a million for the quick response.

Donnie...I have used Leverage the past 2 or 3 years. It has worked great. One of the guys on my dock swears by a polish called Rejex. Do you know anything about this polish? I know you seem to know alot about he ingredients in other brands. Thanks...
