My boat tops out around 65 mph according to the GPS. The speedo doesn't register at that speed. I think it's because it doesn't work while it's on the trailer? :grin:
I'm with Dave on this one, running a big block at those rpm's tears ME up inside! I'm sure it's doing the same to the motor. I do it twice a year, early in the season and around mid-season just to make sure I can hit WOT and to verify appropriate RPM's/prop selection. It's probably less than a minute and then I back down to 3500 or under.
